NARF.....A Gladiator of DOOM it is. I will have to get some reading done on the backstory in the areas you mentioned.

Horrah for meatshields! Er ... I mean ...

And ironically, the last character I played was a rather humble conjurer ... despite his being a prankster. So far, this time around, it just seems like he's turning out to be a pompous prick. But as I said, we'll just have to see.

Standard level 2 starting gold : 900gp (it is on a well hidden table in the DMG)

Tam played an-ex gladiator in our last face-to-face WFRP game. Excellent in a fight, but so used to having everything done for him by slaves he could barely tie his own sandals

So: brooding ranger, weedy cleric, doomy gladiator, pompous wizard and, uh, Welsh rogue. I'd hire us!

Well he is an Intimidation based Gladiator instead of a Performance Gladiator. He scared the cr@p out of people and was basicly the badguy that the crowd loved to hate!

Proper backstory for Inyx now posted up in her 'character' thread.

Heheh, as I have figured it he has a 9 in Intimidate and no charisma bonus as this time...

I am still working on the story sorry to stay. I will be doing the finishing touches and posting it in the morning, when I get another 2 hours of time to actually do something.

Prepare yourselves! ... for the first of many inquiries to come, from the One Who Has Never Done This Before. ::ahem:: That'd be me. I don't think I'll ever be hopelessly confused, but I'll probably need minor clarifications from time to time. The first being ....

Is it customary to include such in-depth character history as part of your character sheet? I mean, I have mine in my head, but it seems kind of awkward to spill it into posts now. For example, chalice, I have to say I really enjoyed the scenes you put up... but I'm not supposed to know any of it. And secondly, committing to historical details now might take away some flexibility later. I guess it's not a big deal ... just wondering if it's something expected that I should take the time to do.

Really it's all down to personal taste, Dev. If you want to define your character absolutely then do so, if you'd prefer to keep the other players in the dark until you bond a little IC then email me with your backstory or if you'd prefer to keep things loose and adaptable just give me a general idea and I'll talk to you as events come up that can be woven in with you.

I endorse the use of illustrations of the characters. Also, Dev is currently winning the "pretty sheet" game.

OK. Bollan the Bold's pre-character sheet and intro story are complete.

Thanos, about the changes you came up with:

-The exchange of an EWP for all ranged MWPs doesn't quite seem right. I agree that your concept most likely should include the use of gladitorial weapons but I don't think altering the class is the way to do this

-Intimidate is already a fighter class skill and a poor class skill selection is one of the key drawbacks of the fighter class. I'd prefer you to just take the rest of your skills as cross class if needs be rather than picking and choosing.

Have amended Sevilin's character sheet a little and made a few improvements (such as making Search based on Int rather than Dex )

Today I'll try and spend some time going over the sheets in search of buried treasure ... I mean mistakes. Hopefully the Alcotroll will be up and about soon and ready to finish off his character. That way we can get cracking in the very near future.

I will go add a 'public knowledge' section to my character sheet - something I usually remember to do but for some reason skipped this time.

And I think I'm going to do some more shopping

I'm alive, and I'll have the background done up tonight. I'm almost tempted to see if I can managed to make pretty boxes around my sheet, but that's too much effort.

I hadn't intended my Dwarf to be Welsh, but now you mention it...

Tam, you don't need that last post on your sheet. I'll use an expendables thread for easy access of that stuff

Yay! for Daleks!

Inyx is updated now - maybe not pretty, but a lot more readable than the old version. I've added a 'public knowledge' section to the end of the character sheet. Anyone who has travelled/worked with her before may know more - PM or email me if you think this might be the case. (Tim, I'm unsure as to if we are a team meeting for the first time or not?)
