Between the Worlds (OOC)
Hey all and welcome
 So lets get stated - I know most of you were working on complications/finishing touches with your guys. When you're done feel free to post your guy in the dramatis personae thread. I would also like for you to put your character exposition there - either as a new thread or attached to your character sheet. Don't forget to include a description with some key things that the average person would notice about you. I was sort of torn about the foundry subforum - i like an area to work a little polish into the overall story, but i can see where its sort of redundant to post and then repost things. Right now i'm simply planning on posting the combat thread and the like there. The reliquary thread is a place to talk about anything that deal with the game. If you'd like i can work up a brief synopsis of where i'm seeing the plot bus going (with as much or as little detail as you guys would like). Have a cool plot idea or neat NPC concept - just post it and we'll work on integrating it. I want to foster a feeling that everyone has a hand in telling the story, so if it doesn't feel that way let me know. Right now i'd like to focus on expositions - let me know what you need |

I forgot to mention that I would like to keep the expositions short. as much as i absolute love weaving together storylines, i feel that the times that i have done it has really drained the momentum out of the game.

I think the combat thread could well be some kind of textual manifestation of madness. Are there Hero quickstart rules or anything round that I could have a read of?
This also fits with posting the crunchy bits for my character, as we'd agreed on the complications, but I'm not sure how to actually include them. Edit: Ah, Gral has sorted me out.

Excellent! Hero combat is a fairly straight forward affair once you get the hang of it. The main thing is communication - I try very hard not to let the rules get in the way of what you want to do. Luckily they're flexible =)

I hope you don't mind Erik - I noticed that the ocv/dcv modifiers for your martial maneuvers wasn't showing very clearly so I tried to clean it up a bit.

If this is going to be set in Compton, then I'm retooling Discourse to be more like Ice Cube.
Personally, I think of the The City and The City, which was a disappointing China Mieville novel.
