Very good. Sorry about my slacker ass lately. I still have to formulate a background and will get to that soon. I also will type up that Sohei for you at my earliest convenience. I have increased my workload by about 80% this last week and it will be that way through march, but I won't be any more irregular than I have been because of that.

If there is any other feats or anything that you had in mind Leadpal for my Djinni Bloodline feel free to add them. I made some small adjustments recently and am stumped as to what else I'd like to see in there. I know you said more 'magical' stuff, but I still think there should be the option of the non-magic feats if the sorcerer wants. Besides, a properly built sorcerer can be just as good, if not better, than a fighter. Not that I'm gonna focus on it, but I may pick up something like Aerial Reflexes. Speaking of, if you wanted to make the modifications to that like you suggested go ahead. I forget exactly what it was you proposed. I just remember something about maneuverability having something to do with it all.

Bah, was going to type this yesterday before my machine crashed.

Besides, a properly built sorcerer can be just as good, if not better, than a fighter.
Bad news for Xaden. It's possible, sure, but it really shouldn't be.

Frankly I'm not going to worry about the bloodline until the game itself becomes less busy, as it's getting hard to keep posting reliably. I made the opening complex on the assumption that I'd have enough free time in the next few months to get through it quickly, but that's rapidly becoming impossible. So, I'm going to have to rush a few parts to get the party together.

To save me some trouble, Alde & Seraph are going to meet immediately, and unfortunately I've run out of time to work on a final introduction; Kuroda is going to make an appearance in Cedriana's next post. Jathi has had some real bad technical problems, so Quinn's section will be glossed over, and he'll be NPCed until (if ever ) he returns.

Okay, I've changed this post to cover how Alde and Seraph run into each other. And there's this post, in which Belor and Jubrayl go at it, and Seraph and Alde encounter each other. Time to roleplay your meeting!

A description of Turandarok Academy is forthcoming. Jok's post mostly covers what Ced is doing on the way, and I'll add some stuff to that; PY, anything Kuroda has to add?

Looking ahead in a metagamey sort of way... after going to the academy I'm thinking that Cedriana and Kuroda will then go to the cathedral for one reason or another, where they'll find the other PCs already there. My concern is that this might give Alde and Seraph nothing to do for an extended period. But my only ideas for them would take even longer, and then give the others nothing to do! So... Ben, Xaden, in the meantime feel free to roleplay your hearts out. If you've got thoughts for something minor that could happen in this time to give you more to talk about, please, share.

I figure I'll have more of a chance to talk to the stranger once we get to the academy and get grandpa set up in his favorite chair with some jello.

EVERYBODY LOVES JELLO!

Xaden, I'm loving your ability to grasp the simple thoughts of a man with such a low intelligence. Severely low ability score are hard to roleplay sometimes.

In 1st edition I had a gnome thief with a 2 Wisdom. Severe drug addict was how I explained it, and a complete and utter sense of danger. It was a rough short adventure that left most of our party dead by one hazard or another and we never continued playing after returning to the keep as failures. I would have loved to play more, but that group split up and the campaign died before it even really got off the ground. That 1st level thief was destined for greatness!

You know, some people might take such a comment as an insult , but not me! Thanks, he is proving to be a little challenging, but I'm enjoying it! Alde is a bit different, and I actually think I prefer playing him in PBP rather than IRL because now I can really think about what he's going to do or think (the irony, needing to think deeply about how to play a simple minded person).

I like how you've avoided the simple "Me Smash!" mentality that you see in too many half-orc barbarians.

Yes, I was hesitant to allow the character because I was worried about exactly that. But now my only worry is what I'm going to do if I have to roleplay a really stupid monster that's actually smarter than him.

New post up for Cedriana & Kuroda. The wistfulness of this one gives me an easy way to make an entry for Turandarok Academy in the Sandpoint thread; I can just tell you the same things I've already told you!

Also: New post for Alde & Seraph.

I will not be posting much (if at all) over the long weekend, so if you will be, it's the perfect time to interact some more. Whether you do or don't, however, we'll be wrapping up the seperate threads on Tuesday.

Took a while to think of a more "Seraph" response.

A-a-and that about wraps it up. In the next post, the hand of fate will draw everyone into the same area. Working out how to make the narrative consistent throughout the three threads will probably take the day, not counting the writeup of the sunset celebration, so expect the post tommorow, maybe Thursday. But it'll be an exclamation mark on this introduction, to be certain.

Were you going to be looking for a replacement for Jathi? It would have been wonderful to have a cleric in the party. Just wondering...

Not in the short run. Between this game and Into the Wilds, I don't feel like thinking about character creation for some time, and I doubt I'll find anyone willing to take over Jathi's character. So you can consider him your NPC healer monkey for the next few chapters, and we'll see where we go from there.

Jok, about your last post:

Incidentally, nothing would be going on at the theatre, since the show isn't until next week, and everybody's on Church Street.

Tickets will be on sale in our tent on Church Street!"
Ordinarily I'd just revise history to allow minor and fun roleplay stuff like this, but in this case, there's simply nowhere near enough time to roleplay anything at the theatre. It's showtime, for real.

I suppose there might be time to grab some tickets and autographs at the tent, though...
