Correnai laughs as he launches himself away from his foes, backpeddling to gain some distance. As soon as he feels a little safer, a large blast of energy launches from his hand to strike at the pathetic creature across the room.

Round 2:

Lana deftly slips her blade right between the dwarves legs, gashing his thigh and tripping him up as he staggers forward slighty. Lana’s hand slaps the dwarf right in the back as she twirls past him, dancing around the field of battle, right behind another dwarven warrior facing down Valden. Her blade slinks right through his defenses taking a bite out of his flesh. Looking back, she realizes that the other dwarf had caught himself and hadn’t moved as planned after all.
(Dwarven Hammerer 2 takes 17 damage, and is now bloodied, Dwarven Hammerer 1 takes 23 damage, is also now bloodied)

The dwarven bolters grimace as the situation is clearly turning against them, and they move away from Valden to clear some room, and they both open fire upon him. Valden easily deflects one of the bolts with his shield but isn’t quick enough to block the bolt from the other direction and he roars with pain as it sinks into him. (Valden takes 11 damage)

The Elven Archers all open fire upon the bolters, attempting to bring down the crossbowmen. 3 of the arrows are clean misses, yet one of the bolters painfully makes a mistake in his attempt to avoid injury.
(Bolter 2 takes 7 damage)

The two swordsman in front of the queen stand their ground, determined to keep the dwarves from touching her in any way. The other two strike at the dwarven warriors. One of the sword strokes is very skillful, and is barely deflected by the dwarven armor. The other warrior on the other hand, sinks his blade in deep. (Hammerer 3 takes 12 damage)

Balasar unleashes an intensely powerful strike with his scimitar, inspiring his allies. His aim is true, and the dwarf literally shudders under the blow, before looking at Balasar balefully. A moment later, he totters backward and expires. Balasar turns to the next challenge and steps in toward Valden to support him.
"Your efforts are in vain! We will not fall!"
(Dwarven Hammerer 2 takes 24 damage, dies. Lana, Valden, Corwyn and swordsman 4 gain a +1 power bonus to defenses and 9 temporary hit points. Note that I had you attack before the shift, as there were no legal targets for your attack after the specified shift, and I went with my interpretation of your intent.)

Corwyn, with usual agility steps quickly and launches several arrows at the very close dwarven archer. Unlike Corwyn’s usual self however, both shots go wide, harmlessly flying past all combatants and striking the wall.

Valden pursues the badly wounded bolter, and swings his weapon forward in a blaze of light straight at the dwarf. The experienced dwarven mercenary easily avoids the somewhat clumsy maneuver.

The two remaining hammer wielders face down at their nearest opponenets, one glaring at Lana and another at an elven swordsman. Both strike viciously at their foes. Both of their opponents feel their anger as the hammers crush into them.
(Lana takes 13 damage (9 temp hp gone), swordsman 3 takes 11)

Queen Fariana watches the battle with interest, trying to stay out of the way behind her guards.

Shar finally erupts into action, rushing forward before hurling a ball of acid right past Balasar at the dwarven crossbowman. The dwarf wails in horror as the acid burns through his beard and part of his face, melting it somewhat.

Conditional Modifiers and Other Effects:
• All allies within 10: +2 power to initiative
• Any visible ally spends an action point to take an extra action: That ally regains* 6 hit points, and can make a saving throw with a +4 bonus
* Important: These are not temporary hit points, they are healing

Round 3: Move Action: Move to K16 (or whichever square will get flanking against the dwarven hammerer at L17, should the elf swordsman at M18 move). Standard Action: Strike said hammerer with a furious smash — hitting AC 21 for 5 damage, and the elf swordsman at M18 gains a +4 power bonus to his attack and damage rolls against that hammerer. Conditional Minor Action: If a bloodied ally within 5 squares of me (either before or after the move) has taken damage by this time, use inspiring word to let them spend a healing surge (which heals an additional 2 hit points). Note that NPCs and monsters have one healing surge at the heroic level (though they don't have a second wind action).

If flanking cannot be achieved against that particular hammerer, then attempt the same maneuver against the other hammerer at J14, granting the bonus to whoever I can get flanking with.

Balasar charges across the midst of the battle. The medals pinned to his armor chime as he rams his shoulder into the back of a dwarf's head, knocking him off-balance and creating an opening for an effective strike.

Round 2: Condition: If Lana drops her target at M11: Move Action: Move to L14, or another nearby square to maximize targets for the next step. Minor Action: Use dragon breath on K15 and L17 (or whichever targets he can catch); attack hits 17/23/11/16 Reflex for 3 lightning damage. Standard Action: Use bastion of defense on the bolter at K13 (or any other adjacent target). Attack hits AC 25 for 24 damage; if the attack hits, all allies within 5 squares gain a +1 power bonus to all defenses for the rest of the encounter. Regardless, all allies within 5 squares gain 9 temporary hit points.

If Lana's initial target is still standing: Move Action: Shift to L13 if necessary to get both elven swordsmen, as well as most of the PCs, within 5 squares. Standard Action: Use bastion of defense on an adjacent enemy. Attack hits AC 25 for 24 damage; if the attack hits, all allies within 5 squares gain a +1 power bonus to all defenses for the rest of the encounter. As above, all allies within 5 squares gain 9 temporary hit points. Conditional Minor Action: If an ally within 5 is bloodied, use inspiring word to let them spend a healing surge (which heals an additional 6 hit points).

Round 1: Move action: Move to M13 to achieve flanking with Lana; if that is impossible, attempt to get adjacent to any dwarf that is already adjacent to an ally (this can include Lana). Standard Action: If flanking with Lana, use viper's strike against it — +9 vs. AC; 1d8+5 damage (crit: 1d8+2d6+13), and if it shifts, it provokes an opportunity attack from Lana. If not flanking with Lana, then the target receives a furious smash — +9 vs. Fort; 5 damage (crit: 1d8+2d6+5), and the ally (either next to me or the target) gets a +4 power bonus on their next attack against that target. Conditional: If an ally within 5 squares takes a hit while bloodied before my turn, use inspiring word to let them spend a healing surge (regaining an additional 1d6 hit points).

Balasar charges forward, his scimitar sliding out of its scabbard. Letting the sheath fall to the floor behind him, he advances on the dwarves and chops at the neck of the first one to fall within reach. "Treacherous well-diggers! You'll pay for this insult!"

Round 3: Shift one square left into i13, and use Positioning Strike against the dwarf hammerer in j14, with combat advantage. Hits Will 23, deals 23 damage.

If that doesn't knock the dwarf unconscious, shift the dwarf to l12, left of Balasar (three squares, minus one for dwarven stability).

Assuming that this is more damage than the dwarf has hp:

In a flash of crimson the Rouge Rogue suddenly rolls back a foot, and the hammer collides with the stone floor instead, spraying chips of green-veined marble with an echoing clap. Before the dwarf can lift the hammer back up, the Rogue runs on top of its steel head and charges along its shaft, and with the added height leaps into the air, to deliver a kick to the dwarf's face.

The Rogue lands next to one of the bolters, who stares at her with eyes wide and mouth slack; the dwarf she kicked stumbles back onto the ground, unconscious, his helmet rolling several yards away.

Round 2: Use Bait and Switch against the dwarf hammerer in m11. +14 vs. Will, damage is 2d8+2d6+7. Hits Will 21, deals 17 damage.

If it hits, the dwarf will be in m10 and Lana will be in m11. Shift four squares to i13, then spend a move action to shift again to i14, and spend an action point to attack with Piercing Strike. (Remember, diagonals don't count for 1.5 in 4e.) Hits Reflex 24, deals 21 damage.

If it misses, Lana will merely shift to l11.

Conditional Modifier: Bolter 1 will take 7 radiant damage and takes a -2 to all attack rolls if the attack doesn't include Valden as a target. Valden gains a +1 bonus to all defenses & 9 temporary hitpoints from Balasar's Bastion of Defense.
If my original conditions are met and I attack Bolter 1, then Rouge Rogue will gain a +3 bonus to AC from Shielding Smite regardless if it hits or misses, but if I am to change my target to the dwarf hammerman, then he'll recieve a -2 to attacks if I hit.

Round 3: Valden is going keep engaging bolter1 in square j16, using his standard action to perform Shielding Smite, giving Rouge Rogue a +3 bonus to AC. If the dwarf retreats, I'll spend my move action to follow him. If bolter1 dies, I'll use my minor action to use divine challenge against the hammerman in square j14. If bolter1 dies before my turn, I instead use my minor action right away to use divine challenge, targeting and attack hammerman j14 with enfeebling strike.

Description for Round 3.
"Those who are destined to die on this day will perish, while those who are destined to live will be protected till their time comes. With the fate and her blessing we pray, amen." And with that he struck at the dwarf, his own blade shimmering with silver light as he asked his diety to provide Lana with protection as the dwarf loomed over her with his hammer. Wheter or not he struck the dwarf down, his call to protect Lana was awnsered as the same light that encased his blade shimmered around her to form a protective shield around her. As he finished his attack, he glanced at Balasar and asked calmly, "Having fun?"

Description from Round 2.
Valden easily managed to step out of the way of the dwarf's bolt, but in doing so he stepped into the other bolt. Fortunatly it was merely a flesh wound and he could already feel his resolve rise. Balasar's cry was true. They would not fail. With determination he pursued after the injured dwarf, determined to finish him off and send him on his way. As Corwryn shot at the dwarf, Valden raised his sword, invoking the the power of his diety to finish the dwarf off. His blade shone of silvery cold light as he brought it down with grim determination But much to his disappointment, the dwarf managed to step to the side of his attack. I underestimated them, Valden thought grimly. Though Valden couldn't see Corwryn, from the sound of the arrows clattering on the wall he presumed that he too missed his target. But it didn't matter. Their fate was sealed the moment they stepped into the room. Balasar had already finished with his quarry and was proceeding to come toward him while Lana had started to attack the dwarf on her left. It already seemed apparent on who would win, all that remained was to confirm it.

Description from Round 1.
The crossbowmen in the middle are too dangerous not to be dealt with. I must dispatch them both swiftly. Valden thought to himself as he boldly thundered across down the middle into the midst of the dwarves' formation while strapping his shield to his left arm, all the while whispering to himself, "I will not fear death, nor shall I hold no pity for those destined for it. With the Raven Queen's blessing, Amen." Once he was between the two, he paused briefly, quiet for but a moment as Corwryn let loose his arrows upon the dwarf. Then he said with a monotone voice that echoed from behind his blank sliver mask, "Your fate is written." Then he breifly flashed with a cold silver light as he turned to the Dwarf to his right, swinging his blade at him. As he hacked at him, he turned his attention briefly to the dwarf that had approached him, bringing his shield up to defending himself from the blows that followed. All the while, he smiled an unseen smile of the thrill of the fight in contrast to the solumn expression shown on his mask.

Round 2: Valden is going to take a Standard Action to attack bolter1 with Holy Strike, and will spend a move action to chase after him if he moves away but if he dies before my turn, I'll mark Bolter2 with Divine Challenge and use my Standard Action with Bolstering Strike and spend any necessary movement to pursue bolter2. If Bolter1 dies after I attack, I'll use my minor action to do another Divine Challenge against Bolter2.

Round 1: (Unless something changes) Valden spends two actions to move up 8 squares between the two crossbow dwarves. Then I spend a minor action on the dwarf to my left and mark him. Then I spend an action point, gaining temporary hitpoints from Balasar, I then use enfeebling strike on the dwarf I marked. I'll be occupying space L14.

Frustrated with his poor shooting Corwyn decides to stay put and try again

Round 2 Actions:
Move to i11 so I can get Prime Shot on the bolter in k12. If the Bolter moves before I go, adjust movement accordingly. Use Twin Strike on the bolter with both arrows going his way.

Corwyn notices the blood on the Dwarf he shot last turn. Time to move in and finish off the kill.

Round 1 Actions: Target is the Dwarven Bolter at k15. Use my move action to move up until there is only 1 square between him and I (so move to m15 if the bolter doesn't move). Move as close as possible if I can't get that close with a single move action. Avoid OAs if at all possible, but take them if necessary. This should allow me to Quarry him as a Minor Action and make use of Prime Shot. I will use my Standard Action to Evasive Strike and shift 5 squares to get as close to the Rogue as possible while leaving at least 2 squares between myself and him. When it is the Dwarven Hammerers' turn I will be using an Immediate Interrupt to use Disruptive Strike. Priority for targets is a Dwarf attacking the Rogue. After that it will be against any Dwarf getting a flanking bonus and finally a Dwarf attacking Lone Paladins character. If none of those conditions are met I'll just shoot the one nearest me.

Corwyn slices through the combat to get up close and personal to a Dwarf with a crossbow. After firing of a quick shot he slices back through the crowd and prepares to plant another arrow in one of the Dwarves who is attempting to attack one of his friends.

Using acid orb on same dwarf if alive and if he is i get +10 to hit him orther wise closest dwarf archer left standing. If none are then closest dwarf warrior.

Mumbling words of arcane power a grin appears on Shar's face as his hand once agian becomes surrounded bye green energy. "Persistant fur balls arn't you" and with shar hurls the blast at the nearst dwarf.

Round2
Moving 30ft to n14.

Walking calmly foward, Shar mumbles arcane words of power. Suddenly shar's hand is surrounded by green energy. "Damn you dwarfs are annoying, and, in need of a trim". Smiling, Shar hurls the ball of acid at one of the dwarfs beard's.

Round 1 Combat Results:
Lana is extremely quick on the draw, bolting like lighting up to the armored warrior and sinking her rapier deep into the Dwarf. The Dwarf roars with pain as she withdraws the blade, dripping blood.

"Perhaps you forgot I was here?"

(Dwarven Hammerer 2 takes 20 points of damage)

The bolters turn and nod to each other, and then aim their crossbows at the elven archer to the left of the queens throne, and launch their bolts.

(Archer 1 takes 27 damage, is now bloodied)

The elven archers take aim at various targets, launching arrows attempting to force the group tighter together and further from the queen. Two of the arrows are clear misses, but two strike true at the dwarf at point, dishing out some minor damage.

(Hammerer 1 takes 12 damage)

The two swordsman near the queen step in front of her shielding her with their bodies and they stand defensively. The other two move up to the dwarven hammerers cautiously, weaving their blades defensively attempting to gain a measure of the dwarven skill.

Balasar moves up behind the dwarve Lana has just squewered, taking up a tactically advantageous position. His sheath falling to the ground behind him, he bellows at the dwarves. His rapier swoops in for a strike, but is deflected by the dwarve's adept shield use.(I assume you mean m12, not m13 with regards to your movement)

"Treacherous well-diggers! You'll pay for this insult!"

Corwyn snaps into action, flying across the field of battle to no more than ten feet from a crossbowman, as he launches an arrow right into him from point blank range. He uses the distraction from the arrow and the force of the arrow shot to launch himself with grace past the bolters and the flanked warrior to stand near to Lana.

(22 damage to Bolter 1)

Valden, in stark contrast to the clever and agile manuevers of his friends, charges, his feet thundering upon the ground as he throws himself right next to the two dwarven archers. He glares briefly at the dwarf Corwyn's arrow pierced, then grins as his blade swoops in, it cleaving into the archer and weakening his grip on his crossbow slightly.

(bolter 1 takes 5 damage, is now bloodied)

The hammerer at the point of the formation realizes Valden's daring, and turns to engage him. His hammer swoops in at Valden to strike at his helm, followed by his shield slamming forward. Valden quite easily avoids these strikes, grinning the whole while.

The hammerer off to the side away from the main combat faces down the elven swordsman, grins briefly, and slams his hammer down at him, striking true and wounding him.

(Swordsman 3 takes 7 damage)

The Third hammer wielding dwarf gapes briefly as his wounded chest, and swings his shield heavily at Lana. His aim goes awry as an arrow flashes in from Corwyn striking him just beneath the arm.

(Hammerer 2 takes 10 damage)

He screams with rage and quickly moves after Corwyn, striking with his hammer, making Corwyn regret her arrow as the hammer lands painfully.

(Corwyn takes 11 damage)
