Blah... Hate waiting!

How many players do we have right now, and how many are you waiting for The Alcotroll?

With Leadpal... sorry, Lead_Pal, we're up to four current (and five if/when Antitiy comes back).

I'll wait long enough for Lead_Pal to get his character gubbins together, and then throw up the first post.

I probably should have asked this a really long time ago but what kind of game do you think this will be? Will it have allot of roleplaying or will it be mostly straight hack and slash?

Intelligence: 17
Wisdom: 11
Charisma: 13

Quite frankly, you two strongest stats should be Dexterity and Intelligence. Having a 17 in Constitution isn't that bad, if you consider that if we ever raise level, you'll be able to increase your Dexterity to 18, to get that nifty +4 modifier. And the bonus, is that you get more skill points in the long run... 2 more skill points every level, and 8 more at level 1...

/Scythe
Thanks for that, Scythe. I was just looking at those stats last night. My INT was actually even lower -- I made a minor change after playing with skills. I've never played a rogue in my life, so maximizing stats for the class is new for me. I'll probably go with your recommended changes. I'll think it through tonight. Then I have to adjust skills, nail down my feats and buy equipment.

P.S. I'm not sure what you meant by "[h]aving a 17 in Constitution isn't that bad." I think you meant DEX. If so, then, um, yea.

Ooops, yeah... That was supposed to be Dexterity.

You don't need to go to that specific arrangement... You can mess around with the stats, but the important thing for a rogue is intelligence (determines the number of skills you possess, and also is quite important for a few prestige classes) and dexterity (most of your skills concern dexterity).

Having a high strength is only important for touching your opponents... but you could easily take the Weapon Finesse feats to use your Dexterity modifier instead of strength to your attack rolls. And besides, having a high strength score isn't really useful, since you have Sneak Attack.

/Scythe

P.S: If you don't plan on using Weapon Finesse, then I urge you to put your 15 in Strength. Constitution is good for HP and Fortitude... but, a rogue shouldn't get touched too much... A rogue can do **** if it can touch it's opponents with Sneak Attack.

Who needs stats when you can be an Elephant with 30 in Strength plus still be able to cast spells?

Exactly. I recall that one poster (Biff) once created a build designed to be played with straight nines, or lower. I'm pretty sure it took a book or too I don't have, but it looked fun.

Didn't see hp notes anywhere, so I'll just assume max hp at first level and roll thereafter.

The Wizards boards created an Over-God using a Level 1 character... So, I'm not surprised...

Nick is the only one with high rolls so far I think. I guess he'll be the protagonist.

Hurray! Let's go!

Right, like I said, I'm going to assume that you've had a night out on the raz to informally get to know each other a little, so let's be on first name terms chaps.
I'll post the first part of the spiel, and leave it open for any questions or whatever. I'll then stick up the briefing with Hans Kargan (which will set the scene and tell you what's expected of the characters) some time on friday before I leave.
I'll then be back some time sunday evening.

It is done... Apparently, 4e has already been leeched to the internet, as to what Lune told me in the chatroom.

Surprising? Not really...

This is weird... actually I'm not entirely sure I have any idea what it means. Specifically the part about the essence of a woman being of no difference.

So he can use it on himself like some sort of bizarre elating drug?
