He gets slowly up from his lounging chair, fishing rod still in hand. Turning to Stran, his indignation is evident in the look on his face. "I ain't seen nobody! No men for days round these parts. Why you gotta keep pesterin me! I'm just tryin a catch some FISH goddamnit!" He swings his arms up in the air in frustration. Pointing his fishing rod menacingly at you, he continues ranting. "I can't help you find what you're looking for. You on your own. Maybe if you paid a little more attention, you might have noticed–" He suddenly extends his right arm, the fishing rod exploding in a flash of multicolored light. So fast and perfect was the strike that Stran could not avoid it, even as he watched as the rod change to a blade that pierced his flesh. The flash travels down from the tip of the rod to the fisherman's arm, quickly encompassing the rest of his body in a wild, shifting light.

"... we are not men."

The fisherman no longer stands before Stran. Instead there is something beyond beauty, beyond words. Poised with an extended sword arm a fae stares at the lunar with sharp, knowing eyes. He is slender, with delicate pale skin and silk robes embroidered with gold. A plume hangs down to his waist, each feather different in its own way and shimmering in the sunlight. Without retracting his gaze, the fae shouts out into the distance.

"Show yourselves, or you'll never see your moon child again!"

Stran was many things, but a warrior was not one of them. Not toe to toe, out in the open like this. He raised his hands, kept them visible, and trusted his comrades to save him. They were, after all, much more muscular than he was and had very, very useful warforms! He stayed still and silent, ashamed of his powerlessness in this situation...

Walking confidently and with a toothy grin out from the line of trees, Tiden regarded the fae. He had never seen anything quite like him before. Tiden had been expecting to see strange things on this journey after that day that blood rained but never anything quite so beautiful. Still, no matter how nice it looks, this fae is still an enemy that has probably seen his master.

"You put on a good act, but human or not, you're no match for me. We're in a rush so tell us what we want to know or..." he widened his grin then ran a claw along the side of his face. It made an irritating scraping sound against his carapace. "... ill have to force it out of you."

The fae turns, his expression calm.

"Direct, Lunar... Exactly what I expected out of you."

Without a change in his expression, the fae shifts his weight, bringing the blade over his right shoulder. With a graceful, quick motion, the fae hurls it toward Tiden, straight as an arrow. With a twist and a duck, Tiden avoids it. The lunar is too preoccupied with how close that straight sword was to his neck to notice the blurs of motion exploding from his left and right side. Their blades are already against his skin by the time Tiden realizes he's been ambushed. In a screaming flurry of blades against armor and claws, Tiden is cut open. None of the injuries are critical, but there are too many for Tiden to handle at once. Two Fair Folk Cataphractoi, the warriors of the fae, come into focus on Tiden's left and right side, beautiful in their ferocity, both poised to strike a killing blow. The Lunar's anima bellows, throwing white moonlight on their already pale figures.

Tiden grimaced at the pain but kept moving. His wounds were healing, but not fast enough.

I can't believe that I was tricked by his good looks to let my guard down. Have I become soft in my time away from real combat? I wont let this happen again. But first to take care of these cowards...

The barrage of attacks paused for a moment and Tiden saw his chance. Normally he had been keeping his distance to dodge the flurry of attacks but now he stepped in and fueled his charm. As he did, Tiden's already blazing anima sprang into a fury and he could feel the power of his caste flowing within him. He let his instincts take him. Each of his limbs screamed at him to strike, to tear and to rend flesh as essence flowed throughout his body.

The first strike is vicious. Tiden's instinct driven mind sees a threat, in this case a sword and the arm attached to it so he attempts to remove it, with his teeth. Once the first threat is dealt with he goes for the second. Using the momentum of attempting to tear someone's arm off, Tiden spins around violently, backhanding the second cataphractol with his lefthand claws. Then he brings his other clawed arm down from above, raking the fae head to toe. With his hand now on the ground Tiden leans forward, hops up while balancing on his right hand, and plunges his foot claws towards the chest of the first, intent on tearing it open for the pain it had inflicted upon him.

Tiden lashes out, his bite tearing a gaping hole in strange fabric, some of the fae's arm along with it. The backhand slams hard into the next fae's armor, his claws gnawing at the chrome colored plates and another rake meets only the shield the fae carries, the force of which almost makes it fly from his fingers. Balancing up onto his right hand, Tiden tears gaping wounds into the first fae's head and chest with his clawed feet.
