Well, it wasn't a masterpiece, and certainly not worth the wait, but I managed to get a post in. Here's to shorter wait times in the future.

Also, while Ariq's offensive comments may not have been intentional, you can be absolutely sure that R9 has lost any desire to consider any form of tact any more (except perhaps with Enni and maybe Ariq. We'll see.)

That's alright, Ardana is more than used to slinging insults with uppity people. Droids, not so much, but at least int this case the differences shouldn't be too extreme.

Also, dabocim I hope you don't mind on my extrapolation with Twi'lek justice. I figured if anything Ardana says is wrong, we can just chalk it up to the fact that she's been completely ignoring her species culture for the past 20+ years.

I don't know it that well but that sounded right

Anyway I'll give AoM and Krypton one more chance to post and then you'll arrive over Ryloth.

Just to double check, no one is waiting for me to post for Ardana, correct? Cause I was planning on waiting for dabocim to post.

Alright, 2 things that I feel are kind of necessary to know, though I don't know how long they'll be applicable. Not trying to make you work harder or anything, but I'm getting some confusion here.

1) Does the computers announcements/speakers go through the whole ship, or is it just the people in the Bridge who can hear it? Meaning, did those of us not in the bridge hear it?

2) I think I need a size definition for this ship. I was originally of the opinion that this ship was a small capital ship or a freighter design, with about 2 dozen or so crew members along with the PCs. From what I'm reading in your post, we may be on something akin to a light freighter or a very large starfighter and the PCs are the crew. Which, if any, of these are correct?

Answers:
1)The only part you heard was about preparing for the drop out of hyperspace
2)It's about the size of the millennium falcon with a skeleton crew

Hopefully that answers your questions. I'll start writing more soon because I'm really hitting the books hard for my AP tests. Although I'll be able to post some good stuff for the next two weeks as it's standardized test time. I actually like those because the teachers lay off the homework.

I'm sorry... the ship doesn't have a Captain? I guess that means Ariq's captain! And I was definitely under the 'small capital ship' persuasion. After all, we were looking over a Hangar at one point?

Well Ariq is the senior Jedi of the expedition... And small ships go in hangers too

I think he meant that there was a hangar INSIDE the ship - meaning it was a capital ship with room for small ships inside it.

I confess, I was envisioning that as well, at least something moderately bigger than a millenium falcon-sized ship.

Also, is there a tracking system or a homing beacon or someway to track the stolen holocron? It just seems like a single unknown spy could easily disappear into an entire planet, and I'm unsure as of yet how we're expected to effectively track him? What was the mission plan as ordered by our superiors?

What is this scan that we are preparing to do? Is that something that could potentially locate the spy for us?

I should have mentioned that, but yes there is a tracking device on the holocron, and that is what the scan's for

Hm, a couple of questions about the Sierra. 1) does it have any weapons and 2) is it marked/transmitting as a Republic, Jedi, or Independent starship.

1) it has a forward gun with 120 degrees of motion, and two turrets with 360 degrees. and finally a rear gun with 120 degrees. Also it's marked as a independent vessel unless the crew would like to change that.

Out of curiosity, is Keylan still around for this? I know he posted once before for Tel but he never got involved in the conversation we were having.

I don't think he is around anymore. Anyway I'm working on my in character post for AoM's scan and I'll add the results of your visual scan for that.

Actually you might just find a little more than the spy. If you get more rolls like that you might avoid a whole sub-plot

Krypton, if you avoid letting Ardana shoot a bunch of pirates she is going to be very displeased.

Alright, I'm sorry I gotta say this but this has been bugging me for a while now and I need to get it off my chest, so here we go.

Critique ahead!!

dabocim I love that you're running this game, and I'm really appreciative of you going out of your way to keep us updated on your progress. That being said I'll admit I kind of have a problem with the way you post your updates.

Namely, you don't give us anything to work with in your posts. All of them have, quite frankly, been lacking in information. Your first post didn't really describe the ship we were inhabiting to, at least my, satisfaction. Subsequent posts have been lacking that "we're moving forward in the plot" feel, especially for a PBP. Your last post is also victim to this. Instead of posting WHAT ships are arriving, giving us something react to, you just state that something is arriving imminently.

Now these are valuable GM habits for a FACE TO FACE game, because they give people a chance to react to what's happening around them. However in a Play by Post game, it just bogs everything down with unnecessary reactions and updates. It's be much better if you posted that Ariq detected something dropping out of hyperspace, then told us WHAT was dropping out of hyperspace. That way we could move the plot forward at a more reasonable rate. Ariq still has an opportunity to react to detecting this in his post and go accordingly, and the rest of us have something to actually react to.

Now I'm not trying to be mean or cruel or anything with this; I'm just trying to point out something that I see as a critical flaw in your posting habits in the hopes of it being rectified. If I come across as mean or cruel or angry I'm sorry. If I'm the only one bothered by this, then I will be slightly humiliated but will continue to play because I enjoy playing Ardana in your game.
