They look like a normal set of stats rolled for starting adventurers?

Luckily for you those were test rolls, hehe

It's funny that tour set or 3d6s are better than your set of 4d6s

That's awesome! I'll use it! What happened to all those nice skill links though?

Yeah, all average to decent. Nothing good enough to let me be a badass, nothing bad enough to be funny. The most boring kind of stats.

Decided to go melee instead! If you don't like the muscle I can just use my halfling idea.

now I just have to figure out the roll command
ok got that part covered... but if my stats suck like they do, can I reroll?

There is an inconsistency with the number of dierolls in this post due to editing!

Holy crap. This is what I mean about this dice roller. Well according to the game rules you can only reroll if you have no scores over 13 or if the total of your modifiers equals zero or less, since you have one fourteen and your modifier total equals one you technically aren't allowed to reroll. Of course that's ridiculous since with those scores you'd be completely incapable of being an adventurer. I guess you could put the fourteen into charisma and be the world's most 'moe' barbarian.

Hey, I got a question. What direction should Balar's homeland be in? North, south what? I was thinking South because then he could run around with no shirt on acting barbariany but really, being from the north is much more barbariany, and I guess you aren't supposed to be bothered by the cold.

Ok, I changed it to north. It sounds better that way, though saying you're heading south doesn't quite sound as good.

Alright, I'm almost done with my character sheet, but I don't have equipment yet. I don't have my books with me at the moment. How much money do I get?

While looking at the DMG, the Character Wealth by Level indicates that a level three character "should" have 2,700gp.

Added modifiers together...
Shoelip: +6
Scythe: +6
Nicodemus: +8
Antittiy: ... +1?

As you can see... there is a huge différence...

There is only one party rôle needed in this group of merry-men... and that's a healer

I happen to love the dice roller (for the moment). Check out my HP rolls.

So what's this city like? Is there enough debauchery for my wannabe Conan or will he have to stir up his own trouble. Also, anyone got any ideas on how someone like Balar would end up on this quest to recover the book? Hm, he could have gotten arrested for getting into a brawl but was impressive enough in combat to get hired instead.

Anyone got some ideas on what to spend all this damn gold on? Take a look at my sheet to see what I have already. I still have almost 1000 gold pieces.

Beer's favourite.

I don't much mind of people tool up on magical items and such, since the backstory of the city practically demands it- everyone else will have 'em.

I've already got a bunch of healing potions and masterwork equipment. What can I get for less than 1000? More potions?

I'm almost done with my character sheet, I just need my... magical items to choose.

Since I don't need any magical weapons or armor, or anything else besides maybe healing potions, I'm probably just going to buy wondrous items.

for less than a 1000 gold, there is around 20 wondrous items you may choose from, or you might just get... more potions! I don't think you can read scrolls? Scrap a few of your gear ang get a +1 Weapon.

So many options...

A real barbarian always has a keg of beer...

Thanks Scythe! Sorry for the erratic posting, but it's a holiday weekend. I'm posting this from my in-laws! I'll finish off my character early this week.

Yes indeed, it's a nine-hundred GP bag of Gummie bears, pay no attention to the farming implement!

Man, I really hate my ability scores. I can't even carry my equipment without losing my Barbarian special abilities.

To be honest, they don't look all that bad. If you can't carry your kit with a +2 strength bonus then you're probably carrying too much.
Not that I've ever really bothered with the encumbrance rules, since they were clearly designed by someone with no real experience of physical excercise.
