Werewolf the Forsaken

Game Title: Werewolf - Manitou Springs
System: World of Darkness (2004), Werewolf the Forsaken (2005)
Game Summary: In the aftermath of the battle for Denver, the landscape of Colorado has changed dramatically. Under the guidance of Max Romans, the player characters have been brought together to form a new pack, one that can successfully claim and monitor an unprotected territory -- Manitou Springs.
Desired Player Intake: 3-5 players
Character Creation Rules: Characters are to be created using the steps laid out in the World of Darkness and Werewolf the Forsaken rulebooks. Merits and Gifts may be taken from any sourcebook, subject to my approval.

Since the game focuses on the dealings of the pack, it's worth noting a few things: firstly, players should communicate with one another when creating their characters, so that the final product is a well-rounded group; secondly, the players should be aware that this game requires a fair amount of character-on-character interaction, and that they won't get the most out of the game by not contributing, or by waiting for continuous Storyteller advancement posts.

Once the characters are made, players should send me their statistics, history, and physical descriptions through the forum's private message function. Be prepared to justify dot placements where necessary.
General Note: Anyone who has played, or read through, White Wolf's 'Manitou Springs' campaign should not request to join this game. It goes without saying that knowing what's going to happen will lessen the enjoyment for you, and for the other players.

Once the published campaign has been completed, I intend on continuing the game using tales of my own devising. At this point anyone who was previously unable to join due to having read White Wolf's published works will be able to apply.

Okay! I'll give the sheet a look over and see if all's well. I won't be giving it an official nod of approval, however, until the other members of the pack are made. For this reason, I'd suggest that you make a note in this forum of the kind of character you want to play -- his/her basic concept, and what you imagine his/her role will be in the pack. Auspice and tribe would be useful to note, too.

I am really finding myself uninspired as far as character ideas... I think I lack experience with the mythos.

Probably a rogue equivalent (sneaky, dexterous) so perhaps a semi-reformed thief?

There's no rush, so feel free to read through the rulebook for a while before you post. But from the sounds of it, Irraka is the auspice you want.

A note to everyone who has contacted me, and each other, through FPMs regarding character creation: please post all future messages and ideas in this thread. This allows other applicants to see what's what, rather than me having to play the middle-man for those not currently involved.

Thanks.

Hah, well I'd better post then! My concept is a Ithaeur / Bone Shadow, one who is very wrapped up with spirits and the like.

Better post as well then.

Build a Ithaeur / Iron masters, he focuses on knowledge and computers and a big knack for the occult. Also good with animals.

Both valid options, though I'd recommend avoiding multiple characters of the same auspice, since doubling up will make it harder to produce a well-rounded group, and will also make it harder to pass the spotlight onto someone else when the pack's in an area that's their moon's forte.

A Rahu or Blood Talon, or a Rahu Blood Talon? The latter is extremely combat-inclined, whilst the former can be a mixture of things.

Rahu Blood Talon. I have a feeling I'd better make sure his Composure and Resolve are up to snuff eh?

Okay, so thus far, the two suggested characters are:
Rahu Blood Talon
Cahalith Storm Lord

Duplicating another's tribe isn't a deal-breaker (many packs have people from same tribes), but I've advise avoiding the above two auspices from this point on, since players have expressed interest in them.

I have not had/taken the time to read through all the lore and have only a weak grasp of the setting but I think I'll take Irraka and Iron Masters or Hunters in Darkness. As I'm not sure if I'm a grifter or a sneak thief... I'm leaning towards Iron Masters... I could stab you in the back... but I'd rather keep you around to swindle another day if at all possible.

To those who've not read through the books, I'd suggest you at least pour over the setting details, if not the actual rules. Don't worry about time: I'm eager to get the game started, but would prefer everyone knew what was going on from the off rather than me have to stop and correct everyone on simple things -- nothing will sap my interest and enjoyment more, I promise you.

We're in no rush here, so feel free to pour over the core books at your own pace.

The thread is pretty much two years old. I don't remember if the game ever got off the ground, but if it did, it's long since dead.

Copper disappeared a year ago and apparently this game was dead before then.
