Are we still doing this?

I know that tree is cramming for exams of some kind, and that LP has viruses/RL stuff, so this isn't in any way meant as a criticism or anything like that. I'm just wondering if this game will have to be shelved.

Also, does any1 know if Scipio and cthulhu would still be playing if we did start this again? Scipio hasn't been on in about a month, and cthulhu hasn't been on in about 2.

Sure as hell we are still doing this! We just need three more DMs to jump in when our two current ones don't have the time for their game.

I think tree will assess the situation once his exams are over mid October. I can only speak for myself when I say that I hope this will continue.

Concerning Scipio and ctulhu - they're IRL contacts/buddies of tree and they're not in any other gamesÖ so if they know he's busy, they don't really 'need' to come online here.

Hey guys. Definitely not done with this game (or any of my games). I'm in the middle of a ridiculous time crunch. I know I say that a lot, but this has been an extraordinarily busy year. I'm studying for a network certification test that I have had to push back to the end of the month because of schedule conflicts at work, and we're also trying to close a deal on our house so we can get a bigger one (and thus have room for baby #2).

In short, I'm busy. I'll be back. Promise

Yay! Don't worry tree, you're hardly the only one crazy busy. I know I am.

Tree is still busy (a little longer than planned, it seems) - what about you, LP? Wasn't this your battle?

Or are you still busy IRL and/or virus-plagued and/or bored with this game?

I prefer to keep to myself, but I will say that life has been utter shit lately--it's really hard to focus on gaming right now.

I'm so sorry to hear that LP. Hope life clears up soon.

Okay, well, time for some bad (and somewhat obvious) news. As I explained in my post in UC, I am in a sort of indefinite IRL bind. By indefinite I mean 'I don't know when things are going to improve, only that they will'.

Unfortunately, even when I do return, I have yet another baby due in March (it's a girl this time!), so I have to make some decisions about my ORP time. My first decision is whether or not to try to continue running games here. That one was pretty easy. The second decision was about which commitments to keep and which ones to lay aside, because realistically I can't run 4-5 games with a 2 year old boy and a newborn girl in the house, especially with a return to college looming in the summer. I don't like running crappy, rushed games.

So I think I'm going to have to shelve Rise of the Runelords. Age of Worms is also going away. Once I return, I am going to focus most of my ORP attentions on finishing Red Hand of Doom and then my two long-term games, Containment and Inceptum. And the handful of games I'm playing in, though it looks like a few of those are puttering out.

I'm sorry to string you guys along like this. Scipio and cthulhu_waits are not in a situation where they can post anymore (and it's not their fault at all), and with LP bowing out, this seems like the most logical cut to make.

Sad to hear that, but it makes sense. And I'll be honest, I have lost a lot of interest in what's going on for Naraknah. No worries, tree, I think we understand.

Damn. I understand, but... damn. I was really looking forward to this game.

I feel especially bad about this. I asked to help mainly because I didn't want see this happen. I totally blew it.

Looking on the bright side of things, most of you are involved in other games of mine, and by trimming down my commitments here I'm a lot more likely to not disappear again (at least, not for months or years at a time).

That's not to say that I won't at some point revisit running this campaign or something similar to it in the future, either.

Anyway, sorry about the disappointment.

Sure, I'm disappointed. Disappointed that a pretty small part of one of my favorite past-times didn't work out the way I had hoped. Hey - that's not a real problem, don't worry!

You both didn't want this to happen. That's good enough for me not to have any hard feelings.
