Yay! Shadowrun!

Let's try to come up with an ending for the title. I say "...live in a glass house." That or "...have the first piece of cake."

Oh wow, that's a good one!

Wait, that implies that our GM... Yeah, ok, nevermind...

So I wonder what the game is going to be about. Any hints oh omnipotent within the limits of his own imaginary universe one?

Hints... hmmm. I don't anticipate any. Other than that you have the potential to be very involved with the politics between the Megacorps, which may mean moving around, a variety of different Runs, etc.

It's really up to the jobs you take, though I have a first arc in mind to begin with.

Well not having a strict story is good because players never do exactly what you planned for, and If you force them to too obviously they often quit. I was more looking for more general information. You know, what sort's of games you like running, what sorts of runs.

Well when I play I'm almost always a Face, which means I have a lot of experience with dealing with society or politics Runs. I anticipate this campaign being a combination of those, with a lot more based on the posturing between the different Megacorps - with a wannabe-player trying to use you to help them bring the big boys down to their level.

Also, currently Vortigern has me working on an Awakened Face for him, which gives us 2 very different Magic Users, and Lando's promised Street Samurai. Relentless might do well to notice what the Party is missing as he gets in the last character.

Well - neither you or Vortigern's people have any computer skills at all, so it's a glaring weakness for certain. Then again, I haven't seen Lando's guy(s). Then again, you're very strong magically, and Vort's a bit of an Edge machine... Anyway. Shoe - get your sheet over into the Character Sheet Forum - you should be able to just copy and paste it from the PM.

I'm going to test out this dice roller doohickey - that's newer than when I was here last.

25

Oh yeah... we're definitely using this feature. Though I hope I do slightly better than 2/7 hits.

I shall also be bringing a combat character to the party, i'm going to post the synopsis to Krypton as I want to bring someone who's not wildly unbalancing to the party. That and I usually take a few days to create a character once I start as its' always a fine balance of compromise.

Well we could always have an NPC haaxzorzzor. Like um... Some bum Andre heals who turns out to be totally 1337?

I would actually also like to know what style of game you prefer to run Krypton - are you after people who can role play or do you enjoy something lighter on characterisation and heavier on da shootas.

Been ill last few days, doing better so I'll be posting my pc later today or tomorrow most likely.

I have a couple of Street Samurai and a couple of Hackers, so I could play either if needed. I'm also fine if we hire a NPC hacker or recruit another player to be a Hacker.

Well, I'm best when directing a story over just pushing the PCs along to the next fight. Of course, that doesn't mean the story won't be full of action. And, actually - I'll run an NPC Hacker, to work on my Matrix play - just the Hacker Preset, is all.

Well, those whose characters are in, or at least concepted enough for us to start playing, on the afternoon of November 4th are going to go ahead and get started with what can be best described as a 'Call to Arms' or 'Prologue'. The rest of you shall get included as soon as I have enough knowledge of your characters to get started.

Looks like my pc's pdf sheet is too big to attach to the character sheet post so I'll have to finish typing her up some more tomorrow as I need to get to sleep since I'm going back to work tomorrow.

Well, on that note, Everyone's in enough to get started (assuming Vortigern has no objections to what I wrote up) - and I need something to grow tired to. I'm going to go ahead and get started.

Um, I wasn't really sure what the deal was with Andre's intro so I just assumed he was sleeping at home and that the cat thing was a dream, hope that's ok.

Writing up my character this evening, however the 4E book is a little unclear on the effects of the Uneducated quality. Does the 4E wording 'cost for learning new skills.... is twice normal including character creation' halve the number of free points generated from attributes when taking tihs flaw?

Essentially, yes. Though it technically doesn't halve your number of knowledge skill points, it does make the skills cost twice as many points.

Sleeping, meditating... one way or the other, your Spirit Mentor communicated with you through a vision.

Also, Shoe - I assume you're still in your residence? Feel free to go ahead and write your trip through Seattle - the guidance of your Mentor Spirit shows you the way to Scythe.

Ok, well I editted my threat to include more. I don't know where he would have to go but he'd go there without getting distracted unless he encountered someone else who was hurt on the way. It's a mission from mama kitty after all.

A troll cat shaman. The thought of it just makes me giggle hilariously every time.

But the purpose of my post - I will have gear, contacts (Im thinking 2) and weapons elsewhere, yes? I'd hate to have him start the game with nothing and no one.
