MBAM = win. A combination of that and avast keeps my home network clean.

Ok.... So I opened Steam the other day and found out that the the browser based content didn't work. Apparently it was some problem with using a proxy server that was conected to internet explorer... Yes, internet explorer. The program no one in their right mind uses but is still ingrained permanently into the lives of windows users because it's made by microsoft. Anyway there was some solution on the forum about fixing it in the IE options, but my copy of internet explorer won't even start. So I download a new copy and try to install that... It works fine except that it says I should restart, which I don't do because I apparently didn't need to. Steam started working fine. Then after trying to do some more stuff my computer just froze and I couldn't even open the task manager... Ok.... Weird... So I restart and it goes to this IE installing thing.... It goes past the first few steps fine and then it gets to the installnig core components step.... and does nothing for over an hour and a half. So I hard reset. And everything was working fine.So I use it for a few hours when suddenly the task bar turns black and the computer freezes. I shut down and start up again and now I can't connect to the internet at all, and the usually blue rounded Windows XP windows and now gray and sharp edged. And MBAM didn't find anything... But maybe I just have to try again. Point is, I can't connect to the internet on my computer right now... Which I guess is one step above not being able to log in.

Sigh... Well I fixed the internets but the windows are still gray instead of blue and my audio devices keep disappearing. So far I've been able to temporarily fix it by uninstalling them from the device manager (they still appear there, just not in my audio devices menu) and restarting, at which point it finds them and works for a while. Also, but power supply's fan seems to be broken, but there's still wind coming from inside it... weird...

This game isn't going to stop just because of my computer troubles is it? Three days since the last post and it was by me. That's quite unusual for a game that hasn't started yet.

I don't think it's because we're waiting on you.

I'm still waiting on Merbak's sheet.
Grim hasn't been on since May 18th...
Dabocim seems to have been on an off appearing.

I'm still on this game, but I need a bit more before I can get anything going. If worst comes to worst, I can look up some new players. You still on Shoelip (once you get your computer taken care of)?

I'm here, i hope, but accessing this site is a big problem. Half the time it takes several minutes to load, and for each site.

I'd also like to know what Earth languages besides English you want, if any, and whether you want starting gear now or later. If now, then you get 70 gold, a sorcerer's average.
Scores are fine. Other language German. And, while not a real language, it could be fun to add Klingon. Starting gear later.

Glad to hear you're still with us!

Sure, Klingon sounds like excellent flavour. If you know it, I'm up for it!

Okay, so (assuming everybody is still in the game), only Alex (Dabocim) picked his starting gear. We can assume that he didn't get Dayle's memo about not picking starting gear, like he didn't get the memo about it being a Pathfinder game, not 3.5. I'll work on getting the encounter set up, but in the meantime, anyone with a completed character sheet can make an introductory post in the IC thread. Tell us what your player's feeling, now that they're in a fantasy world. Tell us what they feel about their new bodies. Etc.

I'd like to remind everyone to find a picture for your character (and player if you want, though we won't really be seeing them).

And Grim, when you have the opportunity you should make a thread in the Players forum for Theresa, and include the link to your sheet in the top post.

Take your time Shoelip. I'm not sure where Dabocim is right now, and Merbak's still working on a sheet, and I've got a RL friend who might be joining (he has an account already, Theant), so we've got time.

Plus I've still gotta cobble together an encounter that's just right. XD

Okay folks, good to know everyones still here and working. We're almost done with the pre-game bits now, and my encounter is almost built (building the treasure now), so I expect we'll get started fairly soon.

Someone was brilliant and built his character on his wife's computer. The next time said someone gets access to it, he will post it. (should be tonight or tomorrow)

Starting to think on my first post.

Rofl! Outstanding post Merbak!

Wonderful, the game is shaping up quite nicely indeed.

Edit: Party Status thread is open. Anyone with a completed character can post there, according to the template. Nobody but Shoelip has to worry about what spells are prepared per day, so for the rest of you it should be easy enough. Shoelip, when you're done with your character, hold off on the list of spells prepared for a bit. We'll be getting to that in-character. You can make the rest of your post as normal.

Shoelip: I sent you a pm with my email. You can send it there.

Merbak: I got your sheet, and it looks good to me, but Issuu is giving me a bit of trouble right now. I'll upload it as soon as that clears up. If it doesn't, I'll investigate other ways to host the sheets, or just put up some plaintext versions. Two minor questions for you though: is just English fine? And what's the 21 for after Giant on your sheet? Also, I picked your class skills out for you.

Grimtina: I made the language updates to your sheet, and update it as soon as Issuu clears up (see above).

Dabocim: Still waiting on your equipment. If you want, you can start gearless like the others.

All: Things are progressing smoothly. Shoelip and Dabocim should still post introductory posts. After that Dayle will say something, there'll be an opportunity for conversation, and then stuff happens. I have most of the beginning prepared, so things should progress as quickly as you post for the time being.

I would still like to receive pics for everybody. Will be important, as I have to design a map with you guys in it.

Just English is fine, forgot about that part as I was filling it out.
I have no idea what the 21 is (I can't really look until I get access to the sheet, either on my wife's comp, or when you post it) whenever you get it up I'll check.
I wasn't too worried about the class skills - he only gets 1 rank per level (and that's only because they state that it's a minimum of 1 per level, technically, he'd be losing 1 rank per level) and they're all going into arcana for the first 5 levels (which isn't a class skill yet).

It's all good Merbak.

Shoelip, I got your sheet, I'll wait till Issuu decides to work to put it up. In the meantime:

Which domains do you want? You can take: Chaos, Knowledge, Luck, and Trickery.

And since you're playing a morally neutral character, you get to choose if you want to channel positive or negative energy. Positive energy heals living creatures and harms undead, and Negative energy heals undead and harms living creatures. This decision will also determine whether you spontaneously cast cure or inflict spells (cure spells heal living and harm undead, and vice-versa for inflict, like channeling energy).

Edit: Also, you get either an extra Skill point or HP at first level, because of favoured class (I'm assuming that your favoured class will be cleric, same as your fist level class ) Which do you want?

Ugh, I knew there was stuff I forgot! Ok, I'll take Luck and Trickery I guess. And possitive energy, as I see that being useful far more often than negative, but who knows maybe we'll encounter a group of friendly undead right off and I'll regret it. :p

I guess I'll add a skill point to spellcraft.
