The history of the Empire has been complex at times, and it has been simple at times. This report will focus on recent events, that is, event that have happened within the last few hundred years.

Second Elven Relocation

This was an attempt by Emperor Habth I to relocate the Mountain and River sub-classifications of Elves into the Elven forests. A further attempt was made during this time that the elves currently residing in the forest should be concentrated, or moved out to the Isle of the Ancients. Imperial forces were dispatched to meet this end, but ultimately ended up losing out against the Elves' determination. Along with a bust in morale, a large amount removed from the Treasury, and the incresed aloofness of the Elves came the lynching of Emperor Habth I after riots in the Imperial City of Elven supporters several years later. Yulan Greyfellow was crowned Emperor Habth II.

First Contact with Dwarves and Gnomes

Explorers in the mountains came upon Dwarven camps and Gnomish towns deep in the mountains. The Dwarves ended up being just as aloof as the Elves, but the Gnomes and the Imperials soon developed a close friendship, the Gnomes pledging to help the Imperials with their technology and the Imperials promising to leave the Dwarves and Gnomes alone. Some Dwarves and Gnomes have come to the human cities, most notably Drogar Darkbeard, Imperial Sorcerer of the Court of the Dynasty of Habth.

Death of Habth III

Although the man known as Habth III wasn't actually supposed to be Habth III (he was, in fact, meant to be Habth IV), a clerical error caused there to be two seperate Habth III's. Kindor Greyfellow and his father, Hundor Greyfellow, both bore the title of Habth III. Kindor's wife, Lurisia, was barren, and the Emperor was too good of a man to take a concubine, so his two nephews, Hordar and Guldias, vied for the throne after his death. Hordar evenutally won out, and Guldias fled to the District of Port. Several years passed. Guldias has sown the seeds of rebellion against his brother, who has shown to have similar feelings as Habth I: he has renewed hostilites with the United Federation, and has begun a program of enlistment to his army, killing folk who get in the way of him. Guldias is little better; a manipulator, a fool, and an egomaniac. Many debate as to who is the better to rule, but the question is a toss-up.
