Taraka's point (that we should establish a marching order) is a good one.

As far as I can tell, our active characters at this point are Karon, Ieza, Taraka, Ril, and Lorien. Da Mad Hatter hasn't been on in two months, Stringbean since November. Scythe has been active on the forums but he hasn't posted here in two months either.

So, that's one defender (Lorien), two melee strikers (Karon and Taraka) and two ranged leaders (Ril and Ieza). We also have Taraka's animal companion.

We should probably do a 2x3 row. Perhaps Lorien/Karon, Taraka/Kitty, Ieza/Ril? It's long-standing tradition to have a 'toughie' in the back of the party to protect against attacks from the rear, but how often does that really happen?

Scythe is out. He PMed me to say he'd lost interest.

Consider Balam and Cutter to be you holding your retreat point.

Karon is actually a strifender. And he'd stay near Ieza.

This is our second (and most likely last, barring a happy accident). Kids are awesome.

What is a strifeender? I don't have the book with the barbarian.

He's a striker/defender. He's a hybrid swordmage/barbarian. He actually started as a pure sm but the hybrid works so much better.

Oh, nice. Perhaps this, then?

1st row: Lorien -- Taraka
2nd row: Ril -- Kitty
3rd row: Ieza -- Karon

Also the spirit companion. It's a better tank than Taraka, and the melee guys will want it close for leader goodies. I suggest putting it on point.

1st row: badgerbadger -- SNAKE
2nd row: Lorien -- Taraka
3rd row: Ril -- Kitty
4th row: Ieza -- Karon

Or maybe with Lorien next to it:

Lorien -- Snake
Kitty -- Taraka
Ril -- Empty
Ieza -- Karon

I'm fine with either of those arrangements, but the first is probably best unless someone else has a suggestion.

Assuming no one has anything else to add, we're ready for the first room, BP.

It's already well established that the die roller here is very swingy in this game.

Also, Ergo, could you take the time to expand your character sheet a bit to make it look more like every one elses. The sparse format that the Character Builder makes may have enough information to recreate the character, but I don't always have access to the Character Builder when I post. It's easier on me if you're information is posted here.

Oh, and I'd like some feedback on the new map form. It allows me to include light sources and thus give you a much better feel for what your characters can actually see in the dungeon. Plus, I think it looks better than the flat, pixelated maps that I extracted from the adventure.

I like the map just fine, but it's kind of hard to see the character icons against that background. Is there a way to outline the characters like you did for the enemies?

Also - there's no grid, which makes it kind of hard to count out movement distances.

The background is supposed to tessellate on the grid. It is kind of busy, though, and that makes that hard to see and hides the characters in the process. I'll see what I can't do about picking a background that isn't quite so busy.

No.

Okay, fine. I'll put some basic combat tactics too.

Map's been modified to add a grid and highlight the characters. I don't seem to have any backgrounds that are less busy without changing the floor material, so I've left it as is.
