What can I say, I'm bored.

Edit: Oh, and TWO orcish barbarians? Please, someone else play a non-orc, non-barbarian.

HA! I just updated with a block. I simply had to confirm a spot first. SOOOooo... I used one generator to make a character and then another to make a block. I love generators. I would have used one for the name but then I might have missed a spot and Bubbles does just fine.

just crazy. Apparently I got home at the perfect time. I just returned (literally walked through the door) from a waterpark with the family and was curious if it was already posted I saw it one minute after it was posted and the character came in a heart beat. 3 barbarians, a ranger and a bard. Here is to making fighters fight better.

EDIT: Going to unpack the car. Be back in a few. Also Bard spells known are Daze and Summon Instrument.

akiko, nice post man - I'm assuming, he's gonna keep firing arrows as he inspires the troops, eh?
But, who is he shooting at? Wolf? Goblin? His feet?

Oops - thanks for editing your post.

Fellers, it's been a long weekend and a long day of travel for me - I'm off to bed. Johnny (burlyjr) is still on board, and he will field any questions for the night.
I'll post early in the morning, so get your actions in tonight.
Nighty nite.

Akiko nice song, but very bad song all at the same time, so come up with some more creative songs that sound good, think of them ahead of time, it might be a good idea.

Morning fellers - working on the combat post. It's gonna be a long one because I want to set the scene for what you are seeing.
Just finished the first "section" in the post - Mirko's and Bubbles' group - nasty stuff!
Working on Aramil's right now and then will finish with Gambien's crew.

Noo - better get Bra'kan up and running - my advice is to have him go with Gambien's group - that will give you some time to get actions posted.
Otherwise he'll just be standing around and picking his nose - which could work as reflected by his INT score.

SuperC that was completely intentional. I always wondered about how a bard inspires and does he really need to be all that good a singer/performer or if it the inborn talent that leads men to strike truer when they are around. And what would happen if one sucked? The men would still get angry and want to kill things faster, is that not still inspiration? Maybe my next bard will be more typical, maybe not. I thought this would be funny.

Cool post coffee. I am liking this already. Running around and singing and shooting and things dying, its been a good so far. Kudos on following through with this great idea.

Thanks man - you fellers are making it fun for me.
And I love your take on a bard. I can just hear Bubbles in his little Gnome tenor voice screeching like a sick rooster! I love it!

For you other fellers, take a good look at your character sheets - make sure you meet the requirments for the game - especially stats. You should have only ONE exceptional score (I think there is one of you that has two 18's, so take a look and "power down" for me, okay?).

So far, everything else looks real good.
Back online later today.

Scores I used in order, before racial adjustment: 10,16,10,16,10,18. After racial: 8,16,12,16,10,18. And I took no gear other than the light armor, sword and bow.

EDIT: Oh yeah and an annoying bard like this would never survive a campaign, the other PCs would kill him. So this was the perfect spot to roll him out.

Before Racial Adjustments, Aramil's stats were, in order: 18, 16, 16, 11, 14, 11. After adjustments: 18, 18, 14, 11, 14, 11. I toned down the 14 in Wisdom to a 12.

Now, for a question I have: In the in character post you made there are various things in (). Each one is a D and then a number. This at first confused me, but then I think I figured it out. The number represents damage done. Am I right in assuming this?

Even with Racial adustments, you shouldn't have but one exceptional score. I think I mentioned that somewhere in the Character Creation thread....I think.

And yes, the number in parenthesis is damage done (D4). My bad for not explaining that. If you should get healing, it will look like this (H8) and a Critical is a (C25), for example.

Thanks for pointing these things out. After gaming with the same players for years, I forget to explains such things with new players.

How are the maps? Easy to read? Can you figure out what is going on with the description in the post?

Oh, nope.

Originally Posted by coffeesucker I like this system better: out of six stat scores, make three of them average scores (10-11), two of them above average (13-16), and one of them exceptional (17-18), with after racial or ability adjustment no score should be over 19. The reason for this system is that I see PC's as "heroes" or at least heroes in the making. They are above average and that helps them rise up and assume the "hero" role when needed.
I can tone down the strength to a 16 if you REALLY want me to, but then the 16 in dex(before adjustments) is going up to a 17. Not like it really makes a difference like that, but it makes me feel better.
