Shoelip: made the changes, and I tweaked the sheet a bit to fit in with the others, and remind us of certain stuff you miss. Check out the domains on the SRD if you haven't yet to figure out what powers and spells you get from your domains.

Also, loved the post Shoelip. Great stuff.

Just waiting on Dabocim's post for Dayle's grand entrance now.

Well, I found a computer where Issuu will work on, so I'm gonna copy the embed code over here, cause I can't use my blog here (yeah, yeah I know, one computer won't load Issuu, the other hates blogger...) and do it at home in a couple hours. Also, I won't be able to update character sheets till I move in a month, cause I aint gonna be able to be back at this computer. We should be fine though.

You never give the GM these kinds of ideas. *Scribbles in Dayle's GM notes*

How do you know I wasn't just using reverse psychology?

Maybe I was using Reverse Reverse Psychology on you for using Reverse Psychology? (All credit goes to the fifth Captain Underpants book, the one with Wedgie Woman)

Some bad news. I managed to upload the pdfs to Issuu, but the embed links are broken now that I'm back home. And even worse, I went to update Danwit's sheet, and now that's broken as well.

I think I might be able to fix this on yet another computer in a few hours. We shall see...

Great stuff! Great stuff! I loved all your initial posts so much, everyone gets 50 bonus xp!

Post from me soon, and hopefully I'll get the character sheets working by the end of the day.

Edit: Some stuff on how this is gonna go down.

Text in my posts that is in bold italics is Dayle's voice in your heads. Normal text in my posts is standard description of how you perceive the world. Now Dayle knows you guys are all experiencing this first-hand, but as a newb GM, he might slip into GM-speak every once in a while and describe something your players can sense for themselves. Your players are free to argue with Dayle over anything he says, even if it sounds like a description of reality.

Like I've said before, as much as possible now posts should be contained in IC. I realize that there are going to be some points where The Forbidden Place will see a fair bit of action (obtaining the gear is one place we'll need to do some OOC coordination), but try and phrase all questions and comments you have about the game as your players' questions in the IC. That's the point of this game after all!

Dice-rolling for combat and for active actions can be done by you guys if you want (instructions for using Orp's die-roller can be found here), or you can leave it up to me if you prefer. Dice-rolling for reflexive situations will be done by me, as well as other situations where I need to hide the result for some reason. And remember that your players are gamers, so they might well think of there actions in terms of rolling dice, as Alex did!

Edit 2: Also, while I have a small mini-plot lined up to get you to your gear, and a vague potential plot lined up ahead of that, I'll be actively looking for any plots YOU create. I don't want to try and get you guys to follow my story - I'd much rather follow yours. This game is all about the players, not really about the world. So seriously, feel free to have you players get into their own little subplots. I'll be looking for avidly for any that I can integrate into the main scheme of things.

I know we're supposed to post stuff IC but this is completely unrelated to anything ingame... Dabocim, could you please try to refrain from switching multiple times between first, second, and third person perspective as well as past and present tenses over the course of one post seemingly at random? It makes it very difficult to read them...

Dabocim, thanks for the consistency. In the future though, I would prefer third person posts, if it's alright with you. That way there's consistency between the players, and we can differentiate between whom each post is speaking of. You can leave your current posts as they are though.

Next post will be Dayle getting into exposition mode (which I still have to come up with! ), so it'll wait until Grimtina has had a chance to respond. Thanks for all the quick and great responses so far guys. This is going really well, I'm having lots of fun.

Also, I am now officially a high-school graduate.

Thanks Shoelip.

Okay, a bit on how things are probably going to work. First off, I've working on my next post, but it's a bit complex, so it might take me a bit.

Now the more important part. Issuu is not working from this connection, and the bug is mysterious enough that I have no clue how to begin to solve it. Since I'm moving in a couple weeks anyway, I've decided that I won't worry about getting the character sheets up until I'm working from another computer. This means that the next non-introductory part of the game, which I think I've mentioned will be a combat encounter, will wait until then as well. So for the time being, continue as you have been. I love all the posts so far, they've been great roleplaying. Keep up the good work, and bear with me for a few weeks.

Now, in a couple of weeks, I'm heading off to summer camp in Israel (my last chance, now that I'm a graduate) so I'll have 10 days of no net access. I'll try and leave the game in a way where you can post among yourselves in that time, but you should be warned that neither I nor Dayle will be active from June 29 to July 8.

Once that's done, I will have access to a computer, but I'll be on vacation in Israel, meeting up with friends, so I'll be on Orp a tad less than now. I say a tad, because I know myself, and the existence of a social life will not stop me from coming here, no matter how hard my friends may try.

Anyway, once I'm out of summer camp, I expect to be able to get the character sheets up, and shortly after that, we'll start moving forward.

Sorry for the holdups, you guys have been great so far.

I'd like to note that dabocim's Player is Alex, not Jim. Shoelip, dabocim, I would edit your posts accordingly.

I'm still here and reading, I just want to wait for Merbak to post before I do. Don't want anybody fading into the woodwork.

Thanks for continuing to post guys. I promise that I have my next post ready, but since it involves sort of moving on past the introduction scene, I want to give Merbak a chance to post first, and also, I'll be needing to be able to get the character sheets up right after that post anyways, so I probably won't post until 2 weeks from now (I'm travelling on Friday, then I have summer camp for 10 days). Don't worry though, we're almost out of this scene!

Thanks for hanging in there, I promise to get things rolling as soon as I get back from summer camp.

Hope everyone's still interested when Cheese gets back. I know I am, but it would suck to find out we've lost a bunch of players and not even get to play...

Okay, so I'm back from camp, and I'm sorry things have been slowing down. I promise to take care of the sheets within the next few days, and to have a post ready by then.

In the meantime, I still want a post from Merbak (hope you're alright, you were off the grid for a while), and I'd like to confirm if Grimtina is still playing. I'm definitely not letting this game go, as I've been racing ahead of myself with ideas for where its headed.

Hopefully we should be out of this scene and into the encounter within the week. And Shoelip, I haven't forgotten that you don't want this to be pure Hack 'n' Slash - there won't be much combat after this for a while (depending on where you guys decide to take the game, naturally), but it's a useful tool to get things moving.

It's the Israeli Scout's Summer Camp. I used to live here in Israel, and was part of the scouts. I made a point of coming back here this year and last year for the summer camp at least, since it's one of the best experiences I've had in my life. Totally worth it. I'm only sad it was my last time. But it's time for the old to make way for the new.

Time for a short OOC post now, nothing much more. Posting will continue to be difficult over the next couple of weeks, so we're not going to move on until I'm settled in in Canada probably. Until then, I'd like to get some kind of consensus either here or IC about who's still actively playing so we can hit the ground running.

Oh, and sheets are finally up. Take a look at them, tell me if they're wrong, out-of-date, or in some other respect not quite what you had in mind.

Sorry Shoelip, I know you've been actively interested and participating in this since the start, and I really apologize for the unforseen and forseen factors that lead to the slowdown. I hope that once my life is settled down I'll be able to be a more active GM, and then hopefully the game will run smoother.

Also, bear in mind that I'm as new to GMing as Dayle, so even when the pace picks up, expect plenty of hiccups and bumps. I'm counting on my players to tell me when I'm wrong (for instance, by making wise-ass remarks to Dayle IC). This is a learning experience for me, but I hope to make it fun for everybody.

Sorry if I seem impatient. It's only because I am! Hope you manage to get everything sorted out quickly and with a minimum of stress for both our sakes.
