I was almost tempted to take the side of the elves, but then I looked at the numbers on the map lol. 17 wood elves vs. 12 hobgoblins + children

If I had made an elf it would've happened.

Sure, sure - you say that NOW.

So, Andrew, you think the Hobgoblins are gonna appreciate your help? Assuming you don't die trying to save them?

This is the first time I've used the rules for mounted combat, I can see where you could just get some crazy actions if you were more suited for it (i.e. a Paladin with his mount and a bunch of the mounted feats lol).

Nice actions, man - as for the Hobgoblins, they ARE attacking; they are attacking the other Wood Elves who are attacking also. I'll update on the next post whether any more casualites/changes occur.

I'll continue to watch, but until one of my games goes into stasis/dies or three games I play in do similar... it's unlikely I'll be able to play.

No problems man - can't do everything - your new game, by the way, looks to be shaping up nicely - the intro really intrigued me, but like you, I'm already strapped.

I'm loving Patton! And if he don't die, I'd like to see him again in another scenario!

One more thing fellers, I'll be out of the house for most of the day and possibly tomorrow. My wife rented a beach condo for a couple of nights and I guess she suspects me to be there with her.

I will be coming back to our house a couple of times a day to feed my dog, and I'll check in on the game then. I plan on finishing this melee up tomorrow morning, so please get your actions in today.
Later.

I'm not sure if by "on the ground" you mean to stress that Chet is no longer mounted, or that he's prone. A character can decide which square to land in when dismounting and probably also when accomplishing a soft fall. The elves charged and dropped his horse, and he could have fallen into a square they didn't threaten and stood on his initiative before they got a chance to move up to him. I won't ask you to recalculate any attacks made assuming he was prone, just that he not be prone currently. Fair enough?

Yea, I'll be getting in on some action later, that is for sure. Can't just let everybody die off, as the scenario 2 people are getting hurt like nothing.

Absolutely! When he went down, I assumed he was a little shocked that the elves took out his horse, thus he was unprepared for their attack, but yeah, he's standing and very much in this fight.

Very nice battle fellers! Much appreciation to those who posted regularly
A couple more posts should finish up this scenario. I'm looking forward to your reactions/interactions with the Hobgoblins.

I will be away from the computer for most of the morning. I'll check back in around lunch and then won't be back online until Monday evening. I'll post then, okay?
Talk to me.

Drinking is bad! Bad GM! I sense wavering dialogue, disappearing monsters and illogical attack rolls in the future.
