Protocon 9

For those that are nearby and interested Protocon 9 is coming soon.

Protocon 9
September 21-23, 2007
Texas A&M University
College Station, TX

We will have tons of gaming at a very cheap price. We have over 20 different RPGA scenarios scheduled. For those that aren't into RPGA we also have plenty in the way of mineratures, card games, board games and other RPGs. I am running a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay scenario and I know some people are planning on running some RIFTS and For Fairy, Queen and Country. There is also a guy who likes older stuff and plans on running some of it at the con as well. We already have 2 Mineratures games planned to run, One Big Chaotic Deck (A crazy Magic: the Gathering experience), and a Live Action Roborally. For board games we are planning a board game contest currently and also have Bermuda Triangle and Nuclear Settlers Extreme. We also have open gaming where you can expect to find things like Settlers, Carcassonne, El Grande, Twilight Imperium, etc.

If you are interested you can go to www.protocon.com for more details. Preregistration is $5. It is $15 at the door. You can also get in for free if you sign up to run 4 hours of gaming.

The confirmed game list is HERE. Game submissions have only been up for a few days so expect quite a bit more popping up on that list soon.

Man... if only I didn't live 25 hours away and have no car or airplane or teleporter at my disposal. Live action roborally sounds awesome.

Unfortunately, I'm several states distant.

Well that's weird, a cousin of mine goes to school there. Unfortunately, I'm very much in the North, and can't really make it down to Texas all that easily.

Does your cousin game? If so what is his name? And even if he doesn't, tell him to come!

I almost want to go; If it wasn't for the distance, travel time, and school, I'd start packing my bags now.
