Am I the man?

It seems like a pretty self-explanatory poll to me.

I would have to say that only The Man truly knows who The Man is.

Yeah, if you were "The Man," you wouldn't need this silly poll!

You can know who and what you are but it never hurts to have the popular opinion on your side.

so does it hurt to have popular opinion against you?

Pssh. The majority either acknowledges my role as the Man, or postulates that it's humanly impossible to be so, but if it were, I'd be a shoe-in.

Unsurprisingly, I voted other.

How did I come to this decision, you ask? It wasn't easy. However, I noticed almost immediately that "The Man" is really an anagram for "Nameth". Now, the Nameth that immediately comes to mind is Joe Nameth. Broadway Joe was a great quarterback, sure, but do a quick internet search for him and you will be besieged by "Joe Nameth in pantyhose" links. From this, it seems to follow that the man wears pantyhose, which simply can't be true. Now, while Cadrius might well wear pantyhose, I obviously took a wrong turn somewhere.

Still puzzled, I observed the second name. "Cadrius" doesn't have any obvious significance. However, if we break it down we end up with three short words: Car, Id, Su

Now, we commonly think of Car as an automobile. However, Car can also refer to the the part of a balloon that carries passengers. From this basket, the operators activate the flame which is used to generate hot air. Hmmm. Interesting.

Id refers to the portion of the psyche devoted to instinctual needs and drives. Things are starting to become clearer.

Su doesn't seem to make much sense. It is the abbreviation for Sunday, which might lead one to make a connection to Christianity, but I think anyone with the Balrog as their avatar has little to do with Christ. Puzzled, I searched for alternate meaning. I came across Kara Su, which is the name of the portion of the Euphrates river that is sourced in Turkey. Now things began to fall into place.

Clearly, "Cadrius" is just a turkey with the instinctual need to spew hot air at the rest of us.

With this in mind, I returned to the problem of "The Man". Taking a cue from the structure of the original phrase, I rearranged the letters and came up with the phrase "Ten Ham". From there, it was a simple leap to the actual meaning Ham^10. This, then, is clearly what we are talking about:

A ham of epic proportion.

Thus, I say that Cadrius is not The Man because one is poultry and the other pork. However, from a slightly different perspective, Cadrius sort of is The Man because both make good dinner meat.

This, then, is why I voted "Other". I hope it meets with your approval.

it's good to see that in this day and age people still hold on to the old fashioned principle of stating their reasons

it also shows just how much time people have to kill at "work"

Cadrius is not The Man. At least, he's not The Man until I find a way to stop confusing Cadrius and Gralhruk together.

Do not ask how or why I got these two confused in the first place. Even I do not know.

How or why did you get those two confused in the first place?
If you can answer me that, I might have found the reason for me mixing them up all the time as well...

Take your pick:

They always seem to post in the same threads?

Or they always seem to be playing in the same games? Though I suppose this one ties in with the first reason.

They both want to be the MAN, but deep down they know they can't.

And doesn't this seem natural to become the next senseless poll?

For the record, I don't want to be the MAN. I'm far happier just making fun of people instead of keeping them down.

And how you could possibly confuse a Balrog with a Crypt Thing is beyond me.

..Maybe the Balrog is guarding the Crypt Thing?

Honestly, it's very weird.. every place I go, I wind up confusing two people who might be to everyone else (including the two in question) completely different people, for no apparent reason. Or maybe there is a reason, and it's more obvious than I might think, and I'm just too blind/dense/what have you to see it..

Gral has indeed discovered my awful secret. Through his cognitive capacity the truth has been revealed and I have been laid low.

As to why you might confuse us, er, well, I don't know, really. We are in several games together but that's about it. It's not like my name here is Gralhrukius.
