• By Popular Demand: You can always find a place to perform, usually in an inn or tavern but possibly with a circus, at a theater, or even in a noble's court. At such a place, you receive free lodging and food of a modest or comfortable standard (depending on the quality of the establishment), as long as you perform each night. In addition, your performance makes you something of a local figure. When strangers recognize you in a town where you have performed, they typically take a liking to you.

• Spellcasting Focus: You can use a musical instrument as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells.
• Bardic Inspiration: d6 inspiration die. You can inspire others through stirring words or music. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Feats

• Crossbow Expert [Campaign Bonus]: Extensive training has given you benefits with crossbows you are proficient with. You gain the following beneifts: you ignore the loading quality for those crossbows, being within 5' of a hostile creature does not impose disadvantage on attacks, and when you use the attack action with a one handed weapon allows you to use a bonus action to attack with a loaded hand crossbow you are holding.

Appearance

Silas lounged on a stool near the bar, a lute held carelessly on his lap and a mug of ale at his elbow. He was lean and slender, possessed of an elvish grace in both his features and movements that tended to attract the notice of the female members of the audience. His rich brown hair was medium length, artistically windblown and glinting with golden highlights, and he wore a roguish chin beard along with three days worth of stubble. Beneath that unruly hair, clear green eyes glinted with wit, energy, and an easy confidence. His long, lean fingers bore many rings, the largest of these a signet ring carved of sardonyx, the face an intricate carving featuring a fox with an armored gauntlet clamped in his jaws.

At his waist he bore a slim rapier of medium length, the ornately worked guard bearing stones of red and black with a grip fashioned of worn camel bone. Over a loose linen shirt he worn an intricately stitched brown leather doublet that matched in color and style his supple boots. The buckles and clasps of his various belts and buttons were all polished and shinging, and while his clothing was clean and well mended it was also far from new. However, he wears everything so well that even these less-than-royal garments seem fashionable and stylish.
