Give the kid a break. He's in his first year of uni right now... that would have made him, what? roughly 8 years old when SW Episode 1 came out and not even a gleam in his parents' eyes when Patrick Stewart was rocking the red duds.

Dabo's actually 2 years behind me... And I know plenty of people who'd seen Star Trek before high school even.

Also, I have my own opinions about Jar Jar and Star Wars movie stuff, but in the interest of this thread not accidentally becoming the grounds of a heated argument, I will refrain from posting them. So let's get back to discussing aliens that were inspired by dogs.

Haha, I feel old.

I'm not going to tell you or anyone else not to like Jar Jar, I was just answering your question Cheese. Definitely give the old Star Trek series a look if you get the opportunity.

I really have to agree I've spent many hours watching star trek and they were well worth while

I'm looking to get things moving again tomorrow; sorry for the delay. I'm also going to spend tomorrow looking up who hasn't posted without bothering to forewarn. This applies to both my games.

And with regards to R9: I didn't mean for him to come off as comic relief, but rather had a mental blank regarding stats during writing and resorted to the stereotype that droids are lacking in manoeuvrability. Sorry if it seemed otherwise!

I'm waiting for the content of those Hutts' conversation with the Sith (which should now be available to R9, as well, since he did the translation work), as well as the results of my Use Computer check. Unless you want a bunch of posts of Ariq twiddling his thumbs, there hasn't been anything I can contribute to what's what.

Also... anything intensive to Ariq's Coundil-mandated mission isn't going to be shared with anyone besides a trusted Droid and another Jedi, at this point. Sorry, the rest of you.

Umm... You do know that R9 is not likely to hide information fro Wraeth, right? Who Ariq should also have reason to trust.

Yeah, but I can't speak Wookie roaring. Basically, I was operating under the general "Droids aren't alive, and don't betray things" view the galaxy has had towards them for forever.

Well, with a cathar, a wookie, an ex-sith, and a droid who considers himself an individual in our party, we'll encounter a whole hell of a lot of prejudice and discrimination.

...Which just means we get to blow them up! Oh wait, no, the jedi won't want us too... Darn, you killjoys...

Come on, now! There's also anti-Jedi prejudice! Just ask Farik.

Anyway - I'm sure Enni will insist on including Wraeth, and Ariq wouldn't object. But Sith companions? No spying for you. Yet.

Now... what were all of your secrets, again?

R9 is secretly just a cybernetic shell for the mind of Pamela Anderson, transported through time and space, and the victim of strange experiments by a crazy hermit. Also, he likes pie.

The Jedi aren't popular on neutral and hutt worlds - and they're killed on sight within the Sith Empire, no? Our group make up just means that no matter where we go - someone will have a problem with at least one of us... although since we all hate the Sith, we're better served on Republic worlds... so long as Farik isn't wearing his full sith military outfit and swinging a blood red saber all about the shop.

Sorry all - work kicked my ass, stole all my motivation, and then took out my laptop's GPU (the last may not be connected, it's hard to tell) so I took an enforced break. I'm back, and ready to go tho!

I'm still here and still eager to pursue this game. Though Enni is currently awaiting a response from Farik (Pulse), enough time has gone by, so I might have the jedi go have a conversation with someone else...

I'm waiting on a translated Hutt message.. and the results of a Use Computer check. But Enni can come chill with Ariq, get the "How've you beens?" out of the way.

Sorry guys, my new timetable's kicking my arse at the moment. I'll try to get a post up sometime soon.

AoM, I'll ask Pulse to get his arse onto the machine soon and post; if he doesn't, I'll be kicking him from the game and assuming control of Farik for my own nefarious purposes.

Thanks for the patience all.

After all the effort of getting us in the same place, and going in the same direction, you want us to split up?!

I doubt Wraeth will like this, and R9 will not enjoy being used as a messenger, and having his plans changed, again. Just saying.

At the same time, I feel it's very in character for a Jedi whose mission was to be on Nar Shaddaa in case the Sith get involved to NOT cut and run at the first sign of shenanigans from said Sith.

Plus, we have kind of a large party. Splitting up to take two different strategies only makes sense in this situation, especially because if we get shot down in the ship, our whole party is paste.

Ariq's just too tactful to say he thinks this ship looks like bantha fodder... but he's thinking it.

Well just cause the ship looks like crap doesn't mean anything if you know how to fly it. However I do think the party is a little large, but it's still manageable.

Heh... I was just going for a little bit of a joke at the ship's expense, dabo. Huffiness not required.

That said... does nobody else think it's smarter to split up and try both options? I mean, Ariq, Nessa, Farik, and Enni make a damn good strike team, and the combination of Wraeith, Anna, and R9 ought to be able to fly equally well without our contributions.

While I admit that it's a good move, and the likeliest move if these were actual people...

I feel it would be a bad idea to split up again, because it would make posting slightly harder on Shakes, who's already having a bit of trouble posting.

...Although... having two separate groups might make each individual post more manageable for him...

*shrug* I'm fine either way (although R9 will likely whine a little bit), and I leave it up to the rest of you and Shakes.

This is assuming that we don't have a few players becoming NPC'd before very soon...

I'm okay with splitting the group if it makes sense, but Enni will want to stick with Wraeth and R9. She respects Ariq enough to let him go his own way if it's what he needs to do, but in this case, there's a Sith Lord that is way too powerful for Ariq to face on his own.
