Jiangu OOC 3

Why a new thread? Because I don't like threads that are more than 5 or 6 pages long. Also, replacing threads creates the illusion of some sort of progress. It makes us seem more distinguished by having a higher number, like starting your new checking account with check # 1000.

Yeah, but then you don't get the pride of having an OOC thread that's over 170 pages long and has more than 20,000 views and is nearing 4,500 posts.

I apologize for just getting my reply for the installment up. I went through everything else yesterday, and was in the middle of my post, when I had to leave. Then, last night when I got back, I couldn't access ORP, like a few others. I should stop waiting for other people to post first and just post when I read the installment....

Flarrgj here's the sound, and winces as it happens. He hears the goblins stop talking, his eye's dart to linus, then he sprints around the corner roaring, atempting to take down the first goblin that comes into his sight.
I wasn't sure what to do with that. Which corner? Did you want him to go around the next corner into the courtyard or were you describing him going through the door? You said that he would take down the first goblin to come into sight. There weren't any in sight at the time, and he can't charge due to the debris, so I figured you wanted some sort of readied step and attack or something.

How many people does it take to aim and fire the ballista? It obviously took both Fugen and Linus to turn it around, but does it take both of them to fire it too or can one of them do that while the other does something else?

Only one to fire it. As per the DMG, a ballista is a size huge weapon, so Linus would suffer a greater penalty to fire it.

Edit: If you did want to work together to shoot it, that would be a regular "combat assist" action for the A.G. (assistant gunner in artillery lingo).

Note to Exarzun: The goblin at 210E/135N is the one that is trapped inside the collapsed tent, so he can't AtO (or do much else until he rolls 20+ with escape artist skill).

Thanks Flarrgj has already established his stance on, if not goblins in general, these goblins. They suck. There for why should they have mercy? He's a rather black and white guy on these subjects, you reap what you sow if know what i mean.

I'll just shoot anything that I can spot, and see if I can weed the population out.

Kierna's opinion on Goblins in general is that she has no problem shooting 'em full of holes. Prisoner goblins...not something she would prefer to discuss (or have to deal with again).

Termix doesn't have an opinion of goblins in general, but these guys are in HIS (technically, Mikon's, but still) place and need to leave............NOW

Well, Linus refuses to kill prisoners, but has no problems (obviously) eliminating threats.

Good to know its not just this computer that can't see the map. All I get is a little white box, with a red X in the center.

Just a note. I, unfortunately, will have to pull out. That's the bad news. The worse news is it's because I'll be heading overseas (I found out today that I'm to leave by the 27th of February) to fill a needed position in Navy Plans and Operations. This sucks (a lot) but it could be worse. The good news is I won't be in Iraq. The bad news is I'll still be in the Persian Gulf on the island of Qatar for at least 3 months, with the other 3 maybe in Tampa FL at CINCENT HQ. Don't know what access I'll have, but it will likely suck.

I"m real sorry to hear that Merc Youve been with us for a while, i hope you can keep up the playing while in servus. Good luck.

That said, this is why were so damn paranoid Cruel Were worried about situations like this, they may just be goblins but theres alot of them...

Anyone got any brilliant idea's other then just hack our way through em?

Lastly a quick note, Cruel, i was just looking at my sheet and i notused that my TAB for my great axe was marked down wrong, i just updated it... Previusly it was +5 now it's +7, +3 from BAB, +3 from STR, +1 from WF.

Thanks for the update, Merc. Don't pull out of the game yet. I was in Kuwait from Dec04 to Nov05, and as you know we kept on trucking. You should have pretty good access in Qatar- even better than I had in Kuwait. Qatar is where they send the troops from Iraq for R&R. It is a fricking resort. So don't be too hasty.

Besides, you will be pretty bored when you are off duty, especially once you get tired of the camel rides and the windsurfing, so the PBP will give you something to do.

At any rate, if Linus goes linkdead we will know you are coming back soon, so I promise to move him offstage instead of killing him like all the other linkdead characters.

Strike that, reverse it. The Navy came back today and now says, "We can't take you. Your clearance isn't high enough." "Well DUH! Isn't that what I told you on Tuesday? Morons..."

So yay!!! I won't be going anywhere after all (at least not today...)
