Well the horses you might be able to ask a minor NPC to borrow (hurray i am including the first diplomacy check). I was targeting my question more toward rounding out the party to 4 if you needed as there ARE other patrons in the tavern/inn that could be asked to assist in your endevor....I am willing to give a list of what the others look like (i.e. race and basic body type and clothing)

I suggest that whoever we pick should be chosen based on physical appearance alone. That way we'll get the horribly scarred warrior who's actually just a thug who's constantly getting beat up, and the gorgeous but otherwise lazy / useless female rogue.

@Shoelip: Lol, I'll roll up the useless thug and trollop

@Scythe: you could...except for three things 1) How did you get it? 2) that defeats the purpose of the challenge of not being prepaired [I did say you could have any reasonable starting equipment, which would have included mounts] 3) that still leaves the rest of the PCs screwed

Does the hooded figure sound male or female, or like any race in particular?

the voice is definately an alto though you cannot distinguish sex and it has a slightly musical accent which is not quite like that of the elves but similar.

ACK, sorry for having fallen off the face of the world... I really can't promise anything, and I'm sorry for leaving y'all hanging.

Unless this game's pace is okay with one post a week I think I'll have to bow out.

once a week might be all i can manage to eek out of this campaign with the rate of responses.

Status up date:
Shmitty/Scythe: have a horse each
Shoelip: Just got schooled by some mercs and picked up a woman with no horse but met a shady guy who has one and will give it freely
Sinbad: Can probably travel as fast a horse on foot

Still I managed to deliver a subtle insult. Well it's not as though he's lawful. A woman's life is on the line after all. If the gypsyish woman can show him where the wagon she claimed to have seen is he might just take it and hope the owners understand.
