Atropos OOC General

Yes yes, hello.

I suppose there's nothing to say at the moment.

The game will not be starting for a while still.

Each of the three subforums will contain the stages, in order as I've noted before.
There is no "central place" for rules or character sheets - each subforum will behave differently.

As a comment... rot, death, end?

Um... hmm... perhaps I shouldn't pose rhetorical questions this way...

Hmm... I originally asked for the "rot" part after the "death" part, but this is interesting too.

I think of them as Living Rot, Oncoming Death, The End.

Ello ello ello! So, out of curiosity, what is everyones idea of 'zombie cannon'? Not nessisarily for this game, not nessisarily in RL, but what do you guys think are some universals?

I think that we can all agree that 'Zombies' are creatures in bodies that were formerly human, that are no longer technicly human, and are driven by base instincts. I also, would like to think that we can all agree that piercing the brain or removing the head is the only way to truely de-activate them besides letting them rot to death cus they got nothing left to eat... What else do you guys think?

In general, zombies are things that were once dead but now aren't, but aren't exactly "special" like vampires.

I don't know what the deal is with Voodoo zombies, though.

Also, "actual" zombies are just victims of chemical brainwashing and brain damage.

Well from what i understand Voodoo zombies are technicly not much different then chemical brain dead, the only difference is that the creator has controll over the zombie and intead of "Monofaloxide Micro Virus" thats maken em, it's "Extract of Blowfish and Newt Liver".

So what about corporate zombies? Where do they fit in and can our characters damage the brains and remove the heads of them as well? And will that truly change them?

Just wanted to say "Hello".

You will not make fun of Bob Dole, or Bob Dole will come and kick your ass, Bob Dole-style.

I am steadily working away at the little rules (read: slacking), but don't expect much for a bit.

I don't really want to get this going until I've spent more time with my other games anyway, and there are still a lot of rules that I want to get sorted out before I get into this.

Understood, take your time, i'd rather wait a week or a month and have a well thaught out game then start now with flaws in it!

It sounds like your kinda makin up your own new system here, is it based off something or is it completely from scrap?

Personaly, i'm a fan of a nice, well fortified fortress with a good escape plan. Free-form noamadic strategies are to uncontrollible for me, to easy to get into the wrong situation or run out of suplies. There the threat is not only the zombies, it's traveling also...

Ah, but if you're traveling, the zombies can't pin you down. Also, by moving around you can pick up more supplies until that day that you find the best position in the world to fortify. Then you have all the supplies you need to survive practically the rest of your life.

Oh, I'm here.

I'll be using the d20 system and d20 modern as a base, but will be mixing up the classes available.

Will there still be the six base classes essentially? If there are, I can start to formulate a tenative character.
