Gotcha.

But how do I use the diceroller? Once I know, I'll post my action in the combat thread.

Grumble. Dakka has the higest FA, and rolled two out of three numbers that fail. In a row. Gonna have to use a frikkin strength already.

Also, Shakespeare, to roll you write [roll]roll code[/roll]. Make sure to turn of WYSIWYG, else it won't work. Roll code here would be d10. In general, it is of the form XdY+Z, in standard notation (3d6+5 is three six sided dice + 5). There are a few other features, which you can see in the faq.

You don't have to turn off WYSIWYG.

Really? I thought WYSIWYG messes with tags? Ah well, when I'm at home I use Chrome, so it doesn't matter much to me anyways.

It shouldn't mess with the tags. I use Firefox and Opera; I have no issues.

Okay! What follows is my post for the round, though I don't know the order for it, nor when to post:

Croaker, I should wait for the successes to post before I do, right? Or can I just post now?

Well, if the successful want to use their success to cancel all lower successes, they can do that. So that might alter what you post a bit. Ask them what they're gonna do.

I'll just post now to make it quicker. If anybody who would have acted before me wishes to do something that conflicts with what I posted, I'll just delete it.

What was Shakespeare's Round 2 action? He was already at NEAR, correct? Was he rolling an FA to attack?

Also, I should be at NEAR, not Far, unless my success and the aliens' failure lets me move two spaces.

I will be firing next round in an attempt to kill the last threat token (assuming Ryder killed off the penultimate this round.)

Just waiting for Ryder to post his combat fiction. If he doesn't feel the need to, I can always include it in my next post.

I'll post the round recap in a bit.

Sorry for the wait guys. Got called away yesterday for an army fitness assessment, and the day before that the computer decided to go all Ol' Yeller on me. Back now though.

Rolling for kills: [roll]2d6[/roll]

Dangit, now I'm gonna have to work to get the highest kill rating.

Now we're in the swing of things. Give me some time to decompress, and then I'll post the round recap and beginning of the next round.

Given that my players are way more astute than me, I would appreciate it if you guys would proofread the round two recap and let me know if I fucked anything up.

IC post to come.

Round 2 looks good.

And Dakka finally made a kill! Too bad it's at close and only gives me 1 kill...

Also, is twenty rounds a lot for a minigun? Cause I was trying to get the idea of overkill across.

Depends on the length of the round. A minigun can shoot a lot with the trigger squeezed.

Shakespeare, since I have about zero knowledge of guns and military stuff, and you seem to know quite a bit, please feel free to correct me whenever I make a mistake. Which will be often.

And, although I've heard the expression before, could you just clarify what "On me" means in this context? Is it basically like "Follow me"?

Will do, Cheese. =) Though I'm British military, so my knowledge of the more foreign guns is pretty minimal. =p

And yes, "on me" means follow the speaker, or congregate on him if they're branched out.

So do you know for instance how an energy cannon works?

Also, would there be time for a headcount about now, to figure out how many were lost? Or are we trying to stay as close to the bugs as possible?

Could get people to sound off, but I assume that bugs would take priority.
