Spikey immediately crouches and is just about to explode into one of his astounding jumps when his foot slips slightly on the fat. His arms make a windmill motion for a second or two before he stabilizes. Grimacing, Spikey continues to regather his balance while shrinking away from the construct. At least that thing won't be able to reach me no longer.

[Try to jump away... fail. Utterly.

Standard action to end expansion. Shrink to be end up in square P16. ]

That certianly was one way of handling things. Spikey has shrunk back down to normal size and in the process extracted himself from the Astral Construct's abnormal reach.

Smart tactic, but he still has to find a way to get at Rakesh.

Spikey eyes Rakesh's progress warily and then nods. Jumping across the arena, he ends up back where the two of them had fought. Spikey vaults onto the platform and into a handstand on the edge of it. Flipping back to his feet, he is grinning broadly and holding up Rakesh's spiked chain in triumph.

[Jump to R14, then to R11, then onto the platform (all automatic) where he uses tumble assisted by balance to impress the crowd. Move action to pick up Rakesh's spiked chain.

The crowd does not seem to mind the continuing suspense so Rakesh milks the moment a bit longer. He excecutes a series of barrel rolls while drawing out his other spiked chain. He chants:
"Don't have enough spikes, you need mine as well?
All I can say is I'll see you in hell!"
The chant continues on for a bit longer as Rakesh flaps across the battle field.

As he watches Rakesh glide closer, Spikey's eyes narrow. Eying the clumsy weapon he is holding, he frowns and flips down onto the next crate. Doing another flip off it, he performs a cartwheel with the chain held only by one hand and flying up in a wide arc... before he brings it down onto the rim of the moat. Pullling it back and forth twice, he then lets it drop into the moat and holds up his hand, finally motioning Rakesh towards him openly.

[Boots are off. Jump down the crates, then tumble to impress to S8. Drop spiked chain in adjacent square as free action - the moat in T7. Ready action - PM to BP.

Rakesh hisses in distaste as his beautiful weapon is dropped into the murky water. I'll never get that smell out. Seeing Spikey's gesture, Rakesh responds:
"I am coming little Spiker
Though you will wish I stay-ed
When this is all over
I fear you will lay dead."

His wings dip and turn as he moves into a better position while drawing out his other spiked chain. His chant continues, becoming difficult to understand, as he draws a pork rind from his pouch. He is recoated with grease.

Rakesh suddenly tucks in his wings and dives quickly to the ground with a great "ROOOAARRR"! He moves swiftly toward Spikey, lashes out a bit cautiously with his chain, and then darts back away again.

OOC:
Activate boots of speed. Fly to Q12 while descending to the ground. Spring attack from R10. Trip attack with spiked chain fighting defensively and using 5 points of combat expertise with follow up for damage. The chain swishes through the air where Spikey had been the moment before. Putting some distance between himself and the half-dragon, Spikey assesses the situation anew. My defense is weakened... and there are five of him to deal with... Hesitating a moment, Spikey then turns to the audience and cartwheels away, hops easily over a crate and then halts. Loosening his shoulders he then flips onto one hand and balances on it. After finding his balance, he then presents several spectacular air kicks before flipping back on his feet and looking towards Rakesh once more.

[Tumble at half speed to impress (2 squares, 20 feet). Jump over crate (automatic). Finish move in P31 where he does a perform to impress the crowd, assisted by balance.

Spikey frowns as Rakesh hurries to retrieve his main weapon from the bottom of the moat. Time to give the crowd something to look at as my opponent seems intent on prancing about... and taking a swim. Focusing on the dire bear, Spikey then points his forefinger at it, nods, looks at the audience, then makes a great show of looking over his shoulder in Rakesh's direction and shrugging and then takes off... he flips and cartwheels all the way to the dire bear and jumps him in an attempt to wrestle and bring him down.

[Move to J36 at half speed, tumbling to avoid AoOs and impress. Attack defensively to grapple and wrestle with the dire bear.

Tumble (+22): 38
Touch attack (+22-4fd= +18): 26
Grapple check (+29): 47
Damage (2d10+7+1d6) 13 ; 4

Rakesh resurfaces with his chain in hand, and for a moment is unable to find Spikey. The roars of the crowd draw his attention to the far corner of the arena, where apparently Spikey has found an opponent more to his liking. Climbing from the moat, he calls across the arena at the top of his voice:

"So he prefers to wrestle with the bear.
Come now, Spikey, I just played hard to get.
Oh well, soon I will be right there,
oh yes, then I will pay my debt," he finishes pointing to his broken nose.

He makes a final quick chant and his movements appear to gather speed.

OOC: Move action: Jump (+22) off the bottom and use the wall (climb +10) to aid his swim (+8, I think). Climb out of the moat into S8. Use whatever movement out of 40 ft remains to move to R9 and then to the right along row R.
Then standard action: Cast Expeditious Retreat using a second level slot.
Edit: If Rakesh can not climb with the spiked chain in hand, then if it is possible to fly out of the moat after swimming to the surface, he will try that, and then cast Expeditious Retreat after finishing his move.
If that's not possible, he will "sheathe" the spiked chain before trying to get out of the moat and then draw it while completing his move. This would leave him with no actions left to cast Expeditious Retreat.

Spikey moves, tumbling to impress. 38 vs. DC 40. Fails. Crowd is not impressed.
Spikey attacks Dire Bear, attempting to grapple. 26 vs. Touch AC 10. Hits. Grapple 47 vs. 27. Success. Deals 17 damage. Spikey moves into the Dire Bear’s space. Spikey and the Dire Bear are grappling.

Rakesh puts away his spiked chain and tries to exit the moat. Jump 32 yields a height of 8' off the bottom. This leaves 2' to the surface. Climb to assist Swim is automatic. Swim to reach surface is automatic because of assistance from Climb. Climb to exit moat 19 vs. DC 15. Success. Rakesh is out of the water. However, since both Climb and Swim are 1/4 speed limited, he has no remaining movement left.

Behir takes no action.

Dire Bear grapples for damage against Spikey. 40 vs. 31 & 34 vs. 45. One deals damage, the other does not. Deals 14 damage (because the Dire Bear has Improved Grab it deals claw damage on grapple checks).

Astral Construct moves.

Warforged Titan takes no action.

Spikey quickly twists the bear on its side with his superior grappling skills. Raising one hand shortly to the audience, he then proceeds to whack the bear with his kama, finally freeing him of his chain with one swift stroke of his kama.

[Activate boots as free action. Grapple to pin, then attack bear with kama and use the last attack to sunder the chain. Prevent the bear from speaking.

Grapple checks (+29(+29/+24/+19):

3: 28
4: 28

Attacks with adamantine kama +2 (at -4 in grapple: +21/+16/+12)

As Spikey continues to wrestle with the bear, Rakesh chants a short diddy and his movements increase in speed. He hops up on the nearby platform and then lopes over the walls and rubble in his way as he speeds along the edge of the arena. As he goes, he makes a couple faux sniffs at the air as if he is in fact a pack of wolves catching scent of its prey. On the way, he retrieves his spiked chain and begins to whirl it around his head as he goes.

OOC:
Cast Expeditious Retreat using a second level slot. Move to S16 jumping onto platforms and over the small walls and rubble. Then to T17 and then to T22.
