Who wins?

My bet's firmly on Marvel. Sure, half of DC's heroes are ridiculously overpowered, but Marvel's characters are just more human. Plus Galactus is the man.

My bets on marvel as well, though all of them have some interesting characters. Batman strikes me as a man with a purpose, twisted as it is, but it was always hilarious to see him lose all this expensive equipment and never worry about it. I personally always wondered how he got all the stuff without alerting anyone.

But I'd have to say my fav superhero is Spider-man. The guy is just human, one with a few special talents. He's cocky, has a healthy ego (that get's bruised more often than not) has a horde of enemies that are similar in nature to him, and he tries to juggle being a super-hero, having a job, getting a love life, and caring for his aunt, often with some rather disastrous results.

That and the costume just looks cool.

I'd have to go for Spawn he'd just kick in everyone plus he's got that whole humanity vs beastiality thing going on, marvel and DC have a lot of good characters but none that i can think of really dwell on such a dark subject. Plus they all wear rediculous amounts of lycra and have dodgey outside pants wearable Y-fronts. Perhaps robocop he's shinny, with the guns and the shouting.

Always had a soft spot for the Incredible Hulk, possibly due to being big and green and hard. Mind you, the recent film kinda ruined him. oh well.

By the way, Mr Elpresidente, bestiality in fact refers to sleeping with animals. And I don't mean having your cat on the end of your bed.....

During a visit down to my sister's I happened to upon a rather long period of time with absolutely nothing ahppening, so I grabbed the nearest book to read. It happened to be my nephew's children's novel of "The Hulk". Reading it, I must reccommend that anyone who even vaguely knows the story of the Hulk never, ever see the movie. It has essentially no relation to the actual thing, even altering it so that he was born with the ability. If your interested in mindless destruction, big green things, and don't know the Hulk storyline, by all means see it. Otherwise, I suggest avoiding it.

I like Mindless destruction. I like big green things. And even then, I thought the Hulk film was piss poor.

Well that isn't what the hulk film was about. It was directed by the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon dude, and I remember an interview with him where he explained what he was going for and I realised it wasn't what anyone would expect from the hulk film.

Still, I'll no doubt watch it at some point

I thought the film was reasonably good. It wasn't mindless destruction, really, and it lacked the one-on-one fistfight that I was hoping for between the Hulk and some random badguy, yet all the same I found myself enjoying it. True to the comics? No, but none of the movies based on comics or books really are. Every film (or trilogy) makes changes so that it might stand on its own feet, attempting to please both the fans from the original work and the newcomers. I think the Hulk did a good job, especially how it was presented.

Plus Stan Lee was a security guard, and that rules.

Upon closer inspection the hulk rocked so hard my guitar exploded.

Edit: Although a second watch had me bored to tears.

Hulk was a solid movie. I enjoyed it. There were parts that were slow and there were parts that rocked. Overall it was solid and Ang (Gay cowboy) Lee is out of directing the sequel. Which is coming.

And how does Marvel win? Who takes on Batman? Sorry Cap ain't cutting it. And Flash toasts quicksilver (not even a contest-700mph vs I can go through time and space). Though Namor does kick Aquaman's corny behind.

Marvel. They have Daredevil, Wolverine and the better delineated X-Men. As far as I am concerned, the only good characters DC has to offer from their main universe are Batman and Green Arrow.
