Segment 12

My initial thought is that Nel will wait in her tree for something to happen. I'm assuming that she is unaware of Dal, and that she does not know the exact location of SiNafay and the rest of her hunting party.

Also, does she know for a fact that this is the group of drow who killed her mentor? Or is she just going after any and all drow she happens to find?

[color=DeepSkyBlue]Mr P: You are not *certain* that these are the same drow, but they were in the corresponding spot in the prime material plan that the ones you were tracking from the shadow plane would have been in.

You are correct in that you don't see Dal or Gwen. You do have a pretty good idea where SiNafay is and you know they'll be heading toward the slave regardless. You're wary that either the mage or SiNafay will use magic - You know that drow priestesses of Llolth wield very strange powers, and the wizards are none the better.

I've decided that Nel won't wait in the same tree for the drow to show up, but she won't move too far away either. She's not crazy enough to think that she can take on these powerful magic-users. But she wants to find out why they are so interested in this apparently worthless escaped slave. So she will get into a position where she believes that she is well hidden but can still hear what goes on. She can teleport again, right?

She can teleport again - it costs endurance (6 points - you have 30) and you have to make a skill roll (11 or less on 3d6). The tricky part will be in getting close enough to hear, but without being seen. I assumed you had your shadowblending on so your stealth skill is at 18 and your concealment is at 17 or less so you'll be hard to spot (its a contested roll so whom ever rolls the biggest margin wins) - there's a spot a bit to the side of the slave and the guard that you can see that might do

As Dal was trained by the elven Rangers I feel it would be most appropriate for him to take the battle on at first from a distance, as most of his skill is with a bow. So perhaps stay within the shrubbery and try to take them on.

Some scouting on his part would have to be done to know location of the Si'Nafay's guard and others being pursued.

Obviously if they come closer bow will not be an option and Dal will have to switch to his swords.

The assumption on Dal's part is that Gwen will help somehow on the other side of things.

You actually have a decent idea of where she and her party is (in terms of general location) - what you'll need to do is some stalking to get within bow range - 50 or so meters (stealth 13< )
