So that same idea applies to shapes as a whole. If we draw a basic rectangle, here are the same 9 points:
A B C D E F G H I
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
tl
tc
tr
l
c
r
bl
bc
br

For rotation purposes, I'm going to call these points rotation points. The default rotation point for our shapes is currently l (the center of the left edge).

If you want to change the rotation point, just add the rotation point on the rotate parameter with a colon:
rotate=45:c

So here is our basic triangle (and containing rectangle) in green, and then rotated 45 degrees using the default rotation point in blue:
A B C D E F G H I
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
l

And now 45 degrees using the central rotation point:
A B C D E F G H I
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
c
