Here there be dragons. Or bored players waiting for the next IC post. Either way.


So Francis, how do you want the character sheets? If you want them posted on the forums directly in text, what would the format be? And would you consider using form-fillable pdfs that are hosted somewhere else, and include the links here (taking this idea from my Pathfinder game)? I could be responsible for hosting them if you'd like.

You can use a pdf- or word-format hosted elsewhere,
and include it as a link here, with [url=..

Or you can post it in plain text.
Please split all the bonuses, so that I can see how you got a hide skill of 14, e.g.: hide 14 7 r. 3 dex 4 race

I will post my comments as an answer to your threat. you can then use edit to change your cs if necessary. Do not post a new reply, that will get too bothersome. If you earn experience or new levels, you can edit too.

Include a short background story explaining your affiliation to the thieves' guild in Marash Pul.

scouts will get combat expertise as bonus feat, as you suggested.
"standard feats" means those from the pbh. You can tell me which feats from complete adventurer your scout would like, and then I'll say whether it's okay or not. They should somehow fit in this campaign.
Quick Reconnoiter seems okay to me for a scout, but you can take that only as lvl. 3 feat.

In the character rules section you mention rogues will be introduced into the Pr Class at 5th level....the class requires a BAB of +5 which rogues don't get until level 7. Do rogues then have a lowered BAB requirement?

You can link to any document you like, as long as it is readable for everyone and in accordance with the D&D system.

The BAB requirement didn't make sense to me, so I skipped it, not only for rogues, but for everyone.

I can open it, but it comes out a bit garbled, so I don't understand it completely.

Your attributes are okay.
Your caster level as ranger is 2 (half your ranger level).
Please fill in which spell you will have prepared at standard days.

I can't see your skills and feats, at least not in one view.
you really should find another, more accessible character sheet.

Okay I'll see what I can do.

For the record, the skills are available on the 'character sheet' tab, placed into groups selectable in two menus. The feats should all be there, I don't know.
Also, I figured I'd do the preparing each day, I'm not sure what spell will be standard. I'll look over it.

Anyways, I'll see if I can find a better sheet.

Edit: Oh, I think you're not seeing everything because you're only looking at the 'level up' tab. There's three other tabs that are important - 'character sheet', 'Spell Descr.' and 'Equipment' - which include all the character-specific details that I filled out. (The rest of the tabs are general data about classes, races, stats, items and the like)

Dumari, I'm going to take a page out of your book and use that PCGen thing. It looks pretty cool, and better than anything I've found so far. Also, I like your concept quite a bit; I don't think it's too cliche, though being new to the game as well, I couldn't tell you for sure.

I have a couple late assignments I must bang out today, then I plan on at least making a decision on what basic concept I will be going with. I'm really familiar with 3.5ed so the crunchy stuff won't take me long once I decide on what I'm playing. I usually stick to human being feat greedy as I am, but since kobolds are open to play I'm toying around with that idea. I have never played a kobold and think it offers interesting RP opportunities.

Also, Dumari, that PCGen program is freakin' awesome! I fully intend to use it from now on when making my characters.

Sorry, I had a fun idea - an ugly, semi-melee Human Scout, with high mobility, a spiked chain and improved trip (feats of 1 Weapon Finesse, H Spike Chain proficiency, 3B Combat expertise, 3 Improved trip, 4 Quick reconnoiter) then I realized that both lv 1 feats require a BAB of +1 [which scouts don't have], which means that to make it legal I'd need to take it as 1 Combat Expertise, H Improved trip, 3b Combat Expertise (wasted bonus feat), 3 Spike Chain Proficiency, 4 quick reconnoiter or dodge) and just drop my dex (and ac) to get a higher str... Trying to figure out whether I want to do that second option or change concepts. Sorry for taking so long.

It's pretty good. I'm having trouble installing the Divine rules into it though. Think I'll just have to do a custom class for Temple Raider when the time comes.

Also, let me know if you can figure out a way of printing out a full inventory using the in-program export function. So far, I can't do it.

Dumari, I did manage to create info on Olidammara, I'll let you know about it when I get home. And I'll look into the full inventory thing - there's a help button in the corner, which links to a help site.

Captain, I believe Francis said the starting gold was 500. I also remember something about art objects and artifacts, one of each I believe.
