Woohoo! Are Magic items from Adventurer's Vault allowed? I know it's not a core book, but it adds a lot of options.

Ok, I got Link to approve Cloak of the Walking Wounded from the Adventurer's Vault. So if you are shopping for 4th level items, I'd reccommend picking it up. It's pretty sweet. In addition to the +1 it grants to Fort, Will, and Ref, it lets you spend 2 healing surges instead of 1 if you second wind while bloodied.

Not bad. You're still losing those surges though. If we get a cleric in the house, consider Cure Serious Wounds at level 6. Spend a daily utility, heal double your surge value plus cleric bonuses, for free.

And if you feel like slaughtering us, Link, notice that it's horribly broken on an NPC. I was going to put it on a Solo monster, before I realized that it would be healing 200+ hp at level 11...

I would think a level 11 group would be able to dish out 200 damage in one turn as a whole...

Not quite. Only solos heal ridiculously, because they've got the hit points of five monsters. The 1/4 hit points from a single healing surge is going five times as far. Works with elites, too, although not as effectively; one surge goes twice as far on their double hit points.

This is exactly why monsters are not supposed to be able to use their surges. :)

I'm here. Been working on a Christmas project for my wife (converting her family's 80+ home videos to DVD w/ proper chaptering). Taking a break from that to make character now.

I just got the Martial Powers book, and it's decent. The powers seem to be mostly equal-worse to the core ones; feats are mostly better (good, because many feats in the core are awful). Haven't really judged the paragon paths or epic destinies, but those won't matter for a very long time. I don't think I'll try to cram anything from it into my current sheet, but I might retrain next level.

Excellent. The crunchy bits of my sheet are finished, and I think they're accurate. Even if they aren't, the sheet is stunningly beautiful. I should get bonus experience for creating such a masterpiece.

I'll send you my current background concept within the week.

Checking in. Had a few days where I was as busy as a fairgrounds outhouse, but I should be able to keep up now.

As for my character, all I've got is a clean slate right now — just the stats I rolled up in the CA forum. What I'm aiming to do is look at what everyone else is making, find out what role hasn't been covered (or needs doubling up), and make that. Don't worry about me delaying; I've been playing for nearly 25 years now, I can throw together a fleshed-out character in record time.

'Course, if there's something you already know the group is lacking, let me know.

P. S. I really like the format you used, LP (hee). The links on the top are a nice touch.

I'm pretty sure the group is lacking in the healer/tank area. We have 2 strikers and a controller.

Sounds good, keep making characters, I'll check them over soon. Sorry the info is taking so long, but hopefully it won't prevent any of the mechanical aspects of your characters from taking shape.
