"Adventurer's Across the realms heed my call and listen." Came the mystic voice from no where, people stood silent. Children stopped playing and warriors paused midbattle to watch their foes run in fear of the voice. "The safety of the mortal realm is at hand, and your aid is near. Although I am powerful, some things, evil things are beyond my control. And Now I ask for your help." It seemed as though the whole world had ceased to exist. "Note that without co-operation of your fellow adventurer we are all doomed. Raise your voice in chorus and join me on my quest." And all was silent, men and women stood bow and sword in hand with grimace looks upon their face. It had just begun, and then they where no longer standing on the green fields and the high mountains of their homes, nor in the dungeons of their lastest adventure nor toe to toe with their newest foe. It had begun.

The Gauntlet is a 'The Pit' inspiration, based on the same concept, adventurers from across the realms have been drawn to a single town protected and built by magic itself, where a Mystical voice guides and aids them. Their goal is clear, unless they learn to work together their realm, their families and loved ones will not live. The same voice teleports them team by team into a series of seemingless random dungeons and lairs where they are to work together, brains and brawn, to overcome their foe. Whatever that might be. Each cleared out lair leaves one less for the realms men and women to worry about.

Co-operation is the key, with no where to go but forward the teams must overcome their objective or fail. So long as one team member still breaths and the quest completed all who have died in the line of duty to aid their realm will rise to serve their realm once more. If everyone falls, all is lost and the quest failed. Their souls are out of reach of their Mystical Guardian.

So what have you Realmsmen! Raise your Swords and Join the Quest!!

Character Creation Guidelines

Character Level: First
Races: All PHB Standard
Ability Scores: 36 point buy - No more then one 18, two 16's+ before Racial Mods.
Money: Maxium for Class
Items to Buy: All PHB Normal, Masterworked and Superior/Special - No magic Items, Potions, Scrolls etc

Unlike the Pit; Characters will be posted on the forum once it gets set up.

Im setting the total cap on players at the moment on 10, so there are plenty of openings.

Just a note, we currently have 8 of the 10 player quota and all appears to be running smoothly. If anyone is still interested they should post here.

In about a week or two, the Gauntlet will be accepting 2 more people to join.

If anyone is interested post here, first come first serve and there is no reserve list.


Gauntlets will be accepting two patrons untill our numbers are about 16-20 over a period of about a year, people who drop out are replaced. Once there is 20 I dont think we'll accept much more, currently we have half our maxium goal.

So anyone else interested? If so drop a line here and let me know, first two people who are still interested in a week will be accepted.

if that influences your class choice. Characters should be posted in the format i've show at the Character Thread in the Out of Character forum. (http://www.online-role-playing.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98)

If you cant see it, try changing your view threads option to "from the begining"

And Psions are not a standard class, sorry. Just going from the three core books to keep it fair for all players for now. After we get a full quota we might start to slowly impliment books by survay and vote (should everyone own a book, and the majority vote wants it, then it -might- get implimented).

Excellent, head to the Gauntlet Forum, then the Out of Character Forum, find the Character Thread and look at the first post. Create a first level character based on those guidelines.
