Maybe not now
Maybe not for a long time
but i think that me, Kahula and Druid20 all deserve Senior DM titles (or somesuch) as we got in on the ground floor and when this place is hosting a large bucket of games people can look at us and think:
"oooh if only i had a groovy title like that, which makes Red so much more imporntant than the lowly maggot that i am"
sound good?

I would ask for a title but after what I put Leechesss through in creating my charecter i can think of a few to many unflattering titles to ask for one till things cool down a bit ;)

Stupid titles...
from the Psionic Lich :)
titles are what make us unique on the boards, aside from our names and little avatars, oh and what we do :)

yes when zombies grow up they become undead slayers :)
well we have Kahluah on board (or he commented and in my book that means he is on the boat)
we just need a comment from druid20 then LeeCHeSSS will have to bow to out pressure (maybe)
but i can wait, there is no point doing something like tis now. It would be better when therre are 15 or so DMs
anyhow as a sub-question (and the point of this post), can these boards have other title rank systems? so although players go from skeleton (or unanimated corpse) upwards would it be possible to say have Mega auto upgrade to various clown types as he posts more and more? or is it like ezboard were you would have to do it by manual changing ?
Kahluah

Clown types.. lol
Mime, circus clown, Court Jester, It. ... ;)
as for the Senior DM titles.. In keeping with the undead theme .. maybe Lich Lieutenant or Lich Commander .... :P Military Liches ... commanding the hoards of the undead in their games.... and stuff... ;) :D

I'm thinking that the next level after 50 is 100, then 200. It seems that way on most of the boards. YAY!!! I'm a Ghoul!

Just adding a new thread to bring this to attention ... now that we have a fair few dm's in place now, and this site is well and truly established and stuff, are the senior dm's gonna get funky titles???? or are we going to stay plain Dungeon Masters? :D

Well I recently became a Ghast!!!
I think that I better get as many post in now cuz in july im headed off to basic training. I'm gonna miss you all. So LeeChesss if Im afk for like 5 months dont delete me!!!!!! I think that I will lose my title as the non-DM member with the most post =( I guess Undead slayer will be just that much further away. Billy asked me why I dont start a game and i was gonna but then the country comes first.

Sorry to shatter your dreams; but Cadrius is the most active non-DM member :)
And I won't delete inactive members with more than 0 posts...
Oh and about the DM's getting special titles. I doubt it. Too much hassle and hardly worth it. Imagine me having to come up with original titles, DOH! :D
BigRedRod

aw c'mon
you only need one title for the three of us :)
looks like you need to post more, join mor egames and the like there Dragonknight :) then you can take your place as the most posting non-DM

I am most certainly NOT going to give people who are longest members special titles. This will only result in people with hurt feelings. But should you do something special (think providing content); you might happen to log in with a new title...

yeah i still need to get those reviews done
and it won't make others harbour resentment against us
it will just let them how much better than them we are :)

totally understand. Ive never seen cadrius on the boards so im sorry. My dreams are shattered. *tear tear* Yeah its like if you do give someone a special title you will have to give one to everyone else.

ok
thats my first review up
my second has just been submitted
hopefully its a little better quality
and i should have two more done at some near point int ime (CC2 and ravenloft setting)
i dont really want to review anything official
and i can't remember which other books i have
i might get the book of eldrich might this weekeed and see what that is like
i just need to get 10 reviews done before anyone else gets started :) then i will occupy the chart alone
muhahahahah

I like the idea of titles for posts (even for DM's). It gives the poster (that being post-er) ranks and I think it would be cool to go up for ranks as a DM as well. As far as title ideas, stick with the undead thing, or you could always have apprentice, journeyman, master, grandmaster and supreme grandmaster for title ideas. =)

apprentice
Journeyman
Expert
Adept
Master
Grandmaster
but i like the undead thingy
i suppose they could describe the types of lich until arch/demi lich
that kinda system would be nice :)
and i suppose the title types cou;ld be based on job
so DMs go up in DM (whatever race or type) levels
and players go up in undead levels

A month after the "Senior" DMs get a new title, BigRedRod will ask for another change. Just be content that you didn't have to be little skeleton or zombie for months. It isn't as if we don't know that you're the DM of your game. And what happens when you're a player? You'll have two, three or even four DMs in one game! A waste of time an effort, just like the post totals which can be highly inflated by fluffy or one sentence posts.

I'll be content with a senior :)
unless everyone gets them :)
anyhow titles don't really bother me
I'll be happy if LeeCHeSSS ever manages to find the mod that gives forum-based titles :)

What is this thread necromancy!?
And this issue was resolved anyhow. LeeCHeSS expanded the title progression and everybody who matters has a special title! Which helps indiciate that they are special.

Horrible, isn't it? Which is why I suggested an appropriate title for the offender ;).
