Although it is many hours yet until the allotted day over where he lives, here in the decent part of the world it is the 25th of January: Which makes it our beloved LeeCHeSSS' birthday as well as the official birthday of Online-Roleplaying.commodities!

For six long years Online-Roleplaying has provided us - the forlorn and forgotten dregs of the internet - a home for our evil roleplaying habit, supplied, run and maintained by LeeCHeSSS purely out of the goodness of his heart and pocket (not to ignore those generous enough to provide donations (http://online-roleplaying.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5646)).

While he would never ask for it himself, being far too modest and humble, I'm going to ask that everyone here do one simple thing for LeeCHeSSS on this day. Send him a Private Message (http://online-roleplaying.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=1) wishing him a happy birthday as a quick word of thanks for providing us with Orp.

Happy Birthday LeeCHeSSS, even if you are old. Happy Birthday Orp, may you one day find enough alcohol to recover from the fell deeds that take place on you. Happy Birthday to all - except those born on a different day.

Hippy bathday, LeeCHeSSS (I made an effort to spell the name correctly)! :)

I don't think he'll be happy about the trillions of PMs that he'll get and having irked him lately already, I'll refrain.....

Thumbs up and happy birthday for ORP as well!

Oh pft, it's not someone's birthday unless you annoy the ever-living hell out of them.

Gee, thanks!

I don't mind getting PM's at all Tashalar, so go ahead and irk me again!

Odd, I have this strange desire to go take a bath and sing flowerpower songs

That's gross! You crawled back into your mother's womb?

Some one needs to go reread Alice in Wonderland.

I never read that book, only saw the animated movie (remember that it's not Dutch literature).

Good thing it's in the public domain, and has a audiobook! Linky! (http://librivox.org/alices-adventures-in-wonderland-by-lewis-carroll/)

My birthday present to you! Happy birthday! :)

Even if I were drunk - which I am at the moment, I wouldn't want to read that book. It's about as horrid as "The Pigfarm".

Ah, it's not half bad. It's not drunk you want to be while watching that movie though, something else entirely is what I'm thinking...

But then you might get lost in wonderland then. Be careful...

Well, hell, that should be good enough. The animated movie mentions unbirthdays too.

And isn't that how they're described? Or am I thinking of the wrong version?

Curse you, American McGee!

Stright from the source. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InSn2BLDwfQ)

I'd say this was the source really:

`They gave it me,' Humpty Dumpty continued thoughtfully, as he
crossed one knee over the other and clasped his hands round it,
`they gave it me -- for an un-birthday present.'

`I beg your pardon?' Alice said with a puzzled air.

`I'm not offended,' said Humpty Dumpty.

`I mean, what IS and un-birthday present?'

`A present given when it isn't your birthday, of course.'

Alice considered a little. `I like birthday presents best,'
she said at last.

`You don't know what you're talking about!' cried Humpty
Dumpty. `How many days are there in a year?'

`Three hundred and sixty-five,' said Alice.

`And how many birthdays have you?'

`One.'

`And if you take one from three hundred and sixty-five, what
remains?'

`Three hundred and sixty-four, of course.'

Humpty Dumpty looked doubtful. `I'd rather see that done on
paper,' he said.

Alice couldn't help smiling as she took out her memorandum-
book, and worked the sum for him:

365
1
___

364
___

Humpty Dumpty took the book, and looked at it carefully. `That
seems to be done right -- ' he began.

`You're holding it upside down!' Alice interrupted.

`To be sure I was!' Humpty Dumpty said gaily, as she turned it
round for him. `I thought it looked a little queer. As I was
saying, that SEEMS to be done right -- though I haven't time to
look it over thoroughly just now -- and that shows that there are
three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get un-birthday
presents -- '

`Certainly,' said Alice.

Wasn't Through the Looking Glass the second one?

BigRedRod

Yeah, the Disney cartoon was a weird fusion of the two stories. I think The Walrus and The Carpenter might also have been from Through the Looking Glass.

LeeCHeSSS

I think I remember that scene now. Still, 'unbirth' brings up gross images to me...
