We need a cleric. Cleric, druid, whatever. Just someone get here and start healing!. Creation rules are still on the first thread.

I'll play two characters if you want

Well, usually I wouldn't unless everyone was, but no one else's gonna reply to this. So... sure. Just try to act him/her as if you were'nt playing two chars.

No problem boss

Just post it in the characters thread at level 2. And when do we really get going in your game? Just wondering who wer're waiting for.

I'll help you out Setzer. Give me a day to work out a character concept. Any restictions on gods, or dragon type? I've noticed a red dragon in your group when you asked for good characters. I also noticed that everyone seems to be half-human. Is that a requirement?

--------------------
Added - Okay, after reading the other character acquisition thread, I now know about the dragons. Still don't know about your gods and will need to know a little bit about them. Though I'm thinking Druid as a class, but if you have a god that shows up as being really interesting, I might go with cleric.

I'm looking at Song Dragon as my dragon type since they're social when it comes to contract with humanoids. I'm guessing that you'll have this type use a cone of electricity. The immunity would also be electricity since its Dragon sub-type is (Electricity).

yeah
no offense sponk but i'd prefer a new player rather than you with two characters :)

BTW I think we are using the standard gods (we have a bahamut holy symbol)

Looks like a half-human/half-song dragon druid. I've got to get away from playing priests! :)

----------------------
added - The community is isolated in the wilderness, right? And the 900 gp, we can spend on anything? I'm looking at a wand of cure light wounds for 750 gold pieces since druids can't spontaneously cast healing spells. :)

One more thing, I'm looking at a guy who can run around the wilderness, trapping, and killing animals to sell, eat and clothe himself in. And I'm taking Bronze as the dragon type.

No offense taken, I only stood forward as there was no one else posting for it.

Assuming Setzer wants me to play, where should I post the final product? There are a few more details to hash out, but I've got most of it done.

Stick it here for now I suppose
If you get a thumbs up bang it in the forum thread

SponkleofInfini

A little late for that

BigRedRod

I didn't check :)

I saw somewhere that Setzer said to post the 2nd level character in the character thread. Then again, he might have ment Sponkle. I did post my questions after his.

BigRedRod

I can't see it mattering all that much
We needed an extra plyer
You are one
Looks like problem solved to me, and getting it posted just speeds things up
It can always be deleted if it shouldn't be there

Something I noticed on the character sheets, the damage for secondary attacks should only have 1/2 STR modifier. I quote from page 7 in the MM, "Secondary attack add only one-half the creature's Strength bonus."

That said, I'm not sure if some people want to rethink their choice of primary/secondary natural attacks. And did everyone blow off wisdom? :)

Maeko and SponkleofInfini, could you post with your character info a description of your characters? Either use my idea of a description or BigRedRod's. My idea of how you look like might be completely different from yours.

SponkleofInfini

Meako is being NPC'd at the moment, she hasn't got net access for awhile.

As for me, my description will be almost last on the long list of things to do.

Yeah i'm pretty sure we went over that when we did out charactes (i know i made the mistake of thinking it was full bonus)

I didn't realy blow off wisdom, mine is still above the average for humans :) along with all my other stats
Ah the joys of being a superior species

All four humans, i'm suprised one of us didn't play a dwarf (for some reason about half of the half-drag characters i've seen end up as dwarves)
Just a note, how come you didn't opt to start out with a free animal? Or are you searching for something impressive (like a paragon dog or something :))

Sorry to say this Sponklofinfini, but BigRed is right. Now that someone else has volunteered, it would be much more fair to keep the same number of characters to players.

Fiend, you can post your char in the characters thread in my game. Start it at level 2.

As for some of the rules:
1. The alignment is good/neutral, but living in a village of half-dragons has promoted understanding. Basically, I ad hoc'ed that half-dragons are not always their alignment.
2. Being half-human is not required. The first person to show their character chose human, and I think everyone else just followed.
3. Everyone almost blew off Wis. At least it's better than saying "sucks to be Cha right now".

heh
His character is already posted :)
It's in the game forum
Now thats quick service :)

I like the line out of the MM, "Dragons with a 12 charisma tend to be sorcerers." I wonder if there's a clause about dragons with 20 strengths being fighters? :)

BigRedRod

hmm
All that dragon blood and no arcane magic :)
It's pretty weird for a group to have any psionics, and yet we managed a fully fledge Psion and a Psi Warrior

The group just seems to be trying to avoid stereotypes in this game :) Although it's hard to be a stereotype when you breath acid and are covered in scales

The_Friendly_Fiend

Read about bronze dragons, they're naturee, polymorphing into woodland critters to spy on humans. I just took that idea one step further. In a sense my dragon is a sterotype! :)

Setzer Gabbiani
8th of September, 2002, 02:57
That doesn't make it a bad idea. After all, if it wasn't useful or a good idea, it wouldn't be a stereotype  . What doesn't surprise me is that no one at all took a dragon type with a 3d# breath weapon.

BigRedRod
8th of September, 2002, 03:07
well my # key is also my ~ key, so i'm not sure what amount you meant :)

My breath doesnt do all that much damage but it's acid and i'm fairly sure you don't get as many things with acid resistance/immunity

Setzer Gabbiani
8th of September, 2002, 05:38
The # actually was a #. I meant no one took a dragon type with a 3 damage die breath weapon.

The_Friendly_Fiend
8th of September, 2002, 09:59
Hmmmm....3dX breath weapon dragons are either brass or white. That would make them desert or arctic. I can't speak for the rest of the group but niether one can be worked into my character's background, woodsy nature/tree loving druid. I'm sure if they bothered to write up a little background, they could give you a simple story as to why their dragon parent was the type they listed.

Setzer Gabbiani

All the starting characters lived in a village of half-anything. So type wasn't really a story issue.
