I'll get things started. I am currently over 1000 points of nation strenght to be considered for votes in the senate. I am still looking for tech deal of 50 levels at a time. Two deals if possible. If no one wants BP's tech, I would like to be in line for another 50 in 10 days.

I also think we need to be able to have a nuke at our alliance's disposal so pretty soon I will need to change a trade for uranium to get me a nuke for the greater good.

I agree that things can get lost in the main thread, I just don't want to have two threads of people talking about the same thing. Spotlight Doctrine clearly states to only use one if you can.

Tech deals and trade agreements in particular don't need their own thread in Uncognitive Cackling. People don't fail to respond because they don't see it, they fail to respond because they don't care.

Well, as it stands, here's the current schedule:

I could slot you in then on Feb 15th for either a 1 or 2 slot deal. A 3 slot deal would have to be split to two transactions on the 15th and 1 on the 17th.

You know, were it not for the fact that the Disaster Relief Agency is $40,000,000, I'd sersiously consider saving up for it in order to get a 6th aid slot.

Right now i can help out with the tech bartering. same prices as BP if BP dosent mind. i have 3 open trade slots and based on the tech prices I see BP's pricing scheem works for me. If i had looked at this yesterday MFG i'd a lumped it all together with the harbor help you did for me.

Speaking of Harbors, if anyone has Lead/Oil and needs Lumber/Marble, let me know I am currently in the market for that specific trade.

Hey, in a few days I will have $2.67M for whoever can get me 100 levels of tech. Even if we have a few brokers that can take a piece each I am cool with that.

I don't think pushing funds my way to get me the Disaster Relief Agency is a good idea, yet. You can only send $3,000,000 in aid at any one time, so even if we got 5 alliance members to fork over $3,000,000 to me all on the same day (totaling $15,000,000, the maximum Aid influx in a 10 day period), I'd still need $25,000,000 to purchase the Disaster Relief Agency.

I think using the alliance to push me over the top once I get my own nation's income into the $1,000,000 per day range (or higher) and have been able to save up most of the price might be worth it, but I'm still a ways away from that (current income level is about $400,000 per day).

When we get to that point, however, we should also discuss pushing me towards a Great University, Space Program, or National Research Lab as they would allow me to lower my Tech prices.

Edit: Oh, and laughinggranny, you're certianly welcome to sell Tech too, but I should warn you that my price scheme for alliance members is setup to only give me about 2% profit. Also, I have almost every Tech discount in the game (the only ones I'm missing are Microchips, and the National Wonders ones), so I generally buy Tech for less than anyone else. As a result, you may find that my pricing scheme isn't profitable for you.

Currently BP the price for tech for me is 9500 (with 5 tech. I would go thourgh quite a bit of tech flux, but i dont see why if i start at 9500 my prices would rocket. However with that being said. i havent seen the tech prices over tech 10 so i dont know what will happen with my price after that.

And it'll be a while before i get 2 universitys.

With prices of $9,500 per level, you're looking at a 5% discount off the base $10,000 price (probably because you have gold as a connected resource).


To the best of my calculations, the Tech formula works like this:
The base price, charged if you have less than 5 levels of Tech is $10,000

At 5 levels or more of tech, your price goes up by 500/whole level of tech that you have plus 100*any part of a level that you have. This holds true until you have more than 10 levels of Tech.

Each whole level above 10 adds another 100 dollars to the price of Tech.

Each whole level above 15 adds another 1000 dollars to the price of Tech.

Above 20 levels, I have not as of yet been able to figure out the formula. I do, however, have the following data, thanks to other alliance members:

1 slot means that you send me the money and wait 10 days to recieve your Tech.

2 slots means that you send me the money and I send your Tech to a third nation who then forwards it to you, allowing you to recieve your Tech on the same day. You could also relay the money to me through a third nation, allowing me to send the Tech to you directly (and for you to include monetary compensation for the third party in the package). Either way the result is the same.

Trendel clued me in to it when I first created, my thanks to him. I talked with the old trade partner that I had and it appears he's helping a friend out for a tech buying spree for a couple of weeks. So i'll be looking for Short term iron trade untill he frees up his obligation. (unless I can find a Purple Iron/Gold which I do have a couple of prospects for.)

We'll see how things roll but 10 Infra costs me 12k more now that it did yesterday.

Actually, we'll have to use imperian as the second party on that trade. I'm supposed to send him aid as part of our February alliance boost program and March 2nd will be the first time I'll have that opportunity. Technically, you did make the request first, so I should put you in front of akiko, but I won't have a 3 some of slots available then, so I wouldn't be able to full a 100 tech order all at that time. You'd have to wait for March 8th to get the final 50 and at that point, you almost might as well wait for March 12th, when the whole transaction can happen at once. I'll let you and akiko work out who's going first.

Make sure you don't go into anarchy if you decide to sell infrastructure and land. Tech is the big thing when sending stuff out, money is good for weaker nations (unless you have millions) and soilders aren't really worth it.

Okay, I just realized that I forgot to buy the second 50 of tech for delivery to MFG and I can't get onto the game right now (down for maintenence). I'll get on in the morning to keep an eye on things, but if Jiggy Monkey Land and Imperian would please check to see the status of my aid offers before accepting if they get on before me, I'd appreciate it. If I have two offers pending, then it's okay to accept the one directed to you. If I have only one offer pending (i.e. the other offer has already been accepted) please hold off until I get on as trying to accept the aid offer will only get it refused for lack of tech on my part.

itches, if you want, you could also tell those interested that if they are interested in an order larger than what my price list goes to, then I'll fill it. The arangement would be for them to pick an amount of money (obviously one above the maximum order on my price list). I will then purchase tech (taking out my profit margin each time) until I reach that amount. I'll send them the tech then either via third parties or in installments, depending on how they want to arrange things.

For that to be profitable they need to average less than $20,000 per level. Given that my price list hits the $20,000 mark at 50 levels, I can't see it as being profitable.

One might be able to pull it off by staggering the tech leaving into 50 tech or less increments (buy some, send it, repeat), thus taking advantage of the lower prices that lower levels have more often, but pulling that off requires close monitoring of your nation and some luck, or cooperative buyers.
