Horror/Modern setting.

I'm a bit new to this forum, and I'm looking to start/join a horror/modern setting RP. Something along the lines of Call of Cthulhu or WoD or D&D Modern.

Well I've played CofC but don't have the rules.

I have the rules for WoD and d20 Modern, I haven't played either though.

That said I'd probably like to go for WoD, more coz I'm a long time D&D player [not the newer D20 version, 1st and 2nd Ed mainly] so I'd like to try something new! :)

This is pretty much off-topic, but what does WoD stand for? I've never seen the acronym before, so I was wondering....

WoD = World of Darkness, published by White Wolf. Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, Hunter, Demon, Wraith, etc etc are all from that setting.

New WoD is the new, similar-but-not-at-all-the-same setting with Vampire, Mage, and Werewolf.

I'm in for WoD (not new, but old definitely. Vampire is a top preference but I own all but changling and wraith)

Will have to sit out if it's d20 modern.
