CoH character creator without the game

This was pointed out to me on another forum I frequent. A lot of folks I know play City of Heroes and/or City of Villians. The only part I liked was the detailed toon creator. I didn't care much for the game itself, though, and didn't feel like paying the monthly fees for the nifty generator.

The Korean CoH guys are industrious fellows however, and on the CoH Korean site, they've released a legitimate Character Creator separate from the game. The downside to this is, it's all in Korean, but you can go into Registry and fix that (I asked TreyKincaide real nice to do that for me as I knew I'd flub it up). They don't have the Villian options on there, but they do have capes and auras.

The download link and registry instructions, as well as some mods if you really wanna mess with that, can be found here (http://www.atomicthinktank.com/viewtopic.php?t=14041). About the only thing it doesn't let one do is mess with eye color. Photoshop/Gimp/etc, I guess.

That is kinda cool. Looks like I have a new tool for rough sketches of my characters. Thanks.

Yeah I've been messing with it the last few days. I have several of my characters, the PCs for MEHSV, a few other random things. It can't do everything, but for the artistically challenged, it's helpful.

No, everytime I tried to boot it up, it just times out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it's the same thing time after time - which sucks because I loved CoH and the character creation engine was one of the best parts.

I have no idea; I downloaded, ran it once, closed it, had TreyKincaide alter the registry for the English crack. Read through the thread, see if anyone else had trouble with it running. Other than that...I am not savvy enough to say what's up, as mine works fine.

Damn. Mine loads, but shows a black screen. Nothing else ever happens. When I read through the thread, they said pretty much, "If you can run the game, you can run the creator" which is obviously false.
