Conan d20: Broken Chains

I'm looking for one or two replacement players as well for my Conan game. Level 2 characters needed. Already plagued with barbarians. A thief, scholar or noble would be best. Nomads and pirates will have little to do for the moment.

The characters have recently escaped from slavery and have accepted employment as muscle for a brothel.

Errr... there are mature themes here, as if "muscle for a brothel" wasn't enough of a hint.

I am requiring players have at least the d20 Pocket Edition of Conan by Mongoose Publishing, if not the full-blown rule book.

Darius, get back with me on this. I think my Boarderer will be useful here.Yes he has 1 level in Scholar but not progressing in that profession any further did it for Ranger realism.I asked questions, bought Titos and the Players Guide. I knw we had issues on Skill Points.

And I was giveing myself too many, didnot know I was. But got everything
as perfect on my roll ups as I can, spent all night reading the pocket book.
no expert. May make mistakes but part of the learning process.

Played d&d since 1996 Conan is not D&D but I like the ruleset better so converting. Just give me time to clear the confusion.Never was a DM just Player.

Have you read the current story arc at all? The other characters might be less than welcoming to Khitai scholars at the moment.

I've read a little of chapter 2, but why? I'd change the race if its that much of a problem though...

But the jackals are street thugs im going to be a priest of the pleasure god Deketo so ill be different and distinguishable from them. Plus im a wimp in terms of being a threat to them.

BTW How much moola do I get for equipment im done with the charicter except for that, also are the only spells in conan the ones in the Pocket Edition players handbook (thats the only one I have) if not then can you tell me some of the other ones?

the book scrolls of skelos is centered on scholars,

Benicus- take one of the starting packages for scholars for the starting equipment. The only spells currently available to you are the ones in the pocket edition.

And how do you know that the Khitai scholars are just street thugs?
