Hey Everybody, it's Link. I know I just started up my psionic campaign recently, but I have a starcraft campaign going on IRL, and want to bring it online. I'm accepting up to 5 players. Just remember, there are basically only 5 roles: High Templar (psion), Zealot (heavily modified soulknife), Dark Templar (Lurk), Ghost (modified rogue), and Marine (heavily modified fighter). This is a high powered campaign. Just know, I expect everybody to be able to, generally, be able to post once a day minimum, with it relaxed over the weekends. It will take place in the Koprulu sector, in between the original starcraft and the Broodwar expansion. Oh, anybody wishing to play must have played through at least the first Starcraft campaigns in their entirety. If you haven't please don't apply, because it would just get annoying having to explain all sorts of plot sections that should already be apparent. Oh, and it would be nice if you've read the three Starcraft books, but not required. If you want to play the Dark Templar, you should have the Complete Psionic.

Is this a DnD books set or what? Does Starcraft have it's own RPG? I may be interested, but I need those questions answered first.

As far as I know, it does not have it's own RPG, so I'm using a mix of D20 future and D&D psionics system for it. All players will be given any and all pertinent information. Also, if a player thinks a piece of technology they wish to use should exist, and I missed it, they may speak with me about it.

I don't have the D20 Future or the D&D psionics books, though the psionics can be found in an SRD. I do have Starcraft and Broodwar though and I have beaten the first fully through. I stopped playing Broodwar before I beat it. If you think I meet the requirements, count me in, but if I'm missing too much, it's no problem either.

You should be fine for it, especially if you play a terran. The Psionics is only really necessary for a protoss.

I'm interested, though I will be gone the week of the 22nd to the 28th. I can play anything on that list, fairly well, I'm sure... so... sign me up?

D20 future isn't necessary, just useful. So that's 2 taken, 3 slots left to fill.

I'm assuming you aren't allowing zerg since you didn't mention it? I'll look over the SRD for psionics and, depending on how well I think I get it, I may play a Protoss.

No zerg, trust me the whole hive mind thing doesn't work.

So, no Firebats?
I think I may go Ghost.

Firebats are just fine, they are basically a marine who uses a flamethrower as his equipment, not a special troop.

I may go firebat then... I'm still not sure. Possibly just a marine, or maybe a Protoss Zealot. Could you give me some more info on how the characters are? Just like classes and skills and stuff like that.

I'll post that stuff once I know there is enough interest in the game. The zealot is basically a heavily modified soulknife. Also, the Protoss racial stats are separated by class (four different racial stats: Templar, Khalai, Judicator, and Dark Templar). Protoss are a LA 2 race, and the game starts at level 3.

Still looking for more members folks. I need 3 more players for the game. I'm using Starcraft RPG as a guide (Switching a lot of things around, and mixing it with D20 Future and D&D psionics system).
Also, the only zerg stats I can find so far make them very powerful, (Which by the Flavoring from the books and such they should be) so you will all be beefed up classes.

Anyway, I'll post the classes and equipment, rules that are different from the norm, and the like once I get a forum.

Okay, have you completed both games? Do you know the psionics system, and do you have the Complete Psionic?
Prince Yami

completed both games and read all the books. alson to be truthful i prefer psionics to magic. wizard class features give me anurisms. as for books i have expanded psionics but not complete psionics. i plan on getting that next friday when i get my paycheque

Okay, nice. When you get the Complete Psionics, you'll be allowed to play the Dark Templar if you want. In fact, since you are familiar with psionics and will have the CP, you can play any of the three Protoss classes you want.

Yes, when the thread is up. I also need some more players first. So far, I have 3. I need 2 more.

Depends on the class of Protoss, Templar, Khalai, Judicator, or Dark Templar. They will be posted once I get a forum set up.

Hi there, I would just like to express my interest in joining this game if you're still planning on running it. I've never played Pbp before but I do have some experience with actual tabletop RPGs. Also, I have finished the original starcraft campaign although I haven't read the novels.

Okay, do you know how the psionic system works? Do you have the Complete Psionic? (what you can play will be based on your answers, but you're in).
That leaves room for 1 more person.

I have the expanded psionics handbook so I know how the psionics system works but I don't have the Complete Psionics book.

Okay, you can play anything but a dark templar, unless you get the CP, in which case you can play that too.

The novels weren't great by any means, but they were entertaining.

they were entertaining. I never said they were great, but they do give good backround and information that might help you get into the setting better.
