THIS IS NOW A 3.5 GAME

I am looking for some D&D players for an already ongoing 3.0 version homebrew world. Right now, this is a one player game but both the player and I (DM) wish more players in the game at this time. Most of the game information was written in french but I will be happy to translate to english if anyone shows any interest for a pirate feeling kind of islandishly world of D&D.

quick info, starting level would be 4th. background would be done with some help from me (as I cannot provide too much info to players) any 3.o splatbook is welcome and rookies to PBP games are welcome too. Frequency of posting should be no more than one post every 2 days. It is a quick game and players may or may not meet in the world. I have had 2 and 3 players in that game at the same time but they never had a common goal due to some special background.

For more info, just reply to this thread.

A pirate type game interests me. I have the 3.5 PHB, but don't have the 3.0 and I'm not really aware of all the changes that were made. That aside, I would like to try and get in if at all possible.

All right, do get started on a character idea. I will write in english what we have done so far. so you have a better idea of what the world is like. The PCs will start not knowing each other. I will request a forum today for the game.

I will talk to the other player to see if he wants to change to 3.5 . He plays a monk but I think he won't mind.

I'd be interested! I also have the 3.5, and yeah; you'd have to translate to english for me too. My french is more than a little rusy.

Je suis Zero, je traviler pour sandwich au jambon et fromage.

Thats about all I can say, sadly; Canadian bilingualism isn't all its cracked up to be :P. I'd like to play a ranger, if possible.

Like I said earlier, I am waiting on the forum request. Feel free to think about character creation. I will let everyone know as soon as I have an answer.

Fulmen, any idea as to what you would like to play?

I'm willin to play, what books are allowed cause i have a few. Libris Mortis, Book of Exalted Deeds, Book of Vile Darkness, Revised Psyonics Handbook (probibly spelt wrong).

My Fellow Gamers
30th of October, 2005, 12:05
All the complete series, Libris Mortis and Lords of Madness. These are the extra books that I will allow simply because I own them. I will not allow psionics.

I see there is interest for this game and that is a good thing. I am out of town right now and therefore I have no access to my desktop and my world info and cannot post more information for the world right now.

The only major change to regular D&D is that both Kobolds and Elves are aquatic races. The rest of pretty standard and I will post a few house rules as well as soon as I am back home on monday (halloween) night. House rules are quite strightforward and no nonsense.

To get you started, 28 point buy. 4th level or equivalent with ECL.
You will all get started individually and may or may not meet the other players. You could decide to already be together because of previous adventures or family relations or anything else you can come up with. I reward creativity and imagination.

So far, the only player is a human monk. Starting gold will be as usual for 4th level PCs.

So be patient, we should have a forum of our own very soon and check again on tuesday morning for some more information on the world.

Hope to see you guys soon.

I am thinking of being maybe some sort of spell caster, like a sorcerer. Though, with it being a pirate type game I may consider swashbuckler. I will look over a few things first. Also, are races from the Races of Faerun allowed?

No problem, only 3 players have shown interest so far and that would make it a total of 4. The game will be back when you come back. You guys are waiting after me after all so I can do the same for you guys.

i'd like to get in to. i can post pretty much every weekday without many problems. but there is a small issue of i only know 3.5 as well. if it's ok, i'll start coming up with my character anyways. i've been trying to get into a game since i joined the boards a couple weeks ago. i'm so excited. Probably gonna play a rogue, fighter type character. i'm thinkin duelist eventually.

We do not have a forum yet but it should be up very soon. One of the Admin(BigRedRod) left a post recently and said it should not be too long now.

With Random person number 873 that will make it 5 potential players so for now I will stop accepting new players to give me a chance to start everyone and adress the new forum/character creation/questions you guys are sure to have in the next few days/weeks.

I might accept more players in the future but I will stop accepting for now. If for some reason one of the five does not play, I will accept new players. I am willing to have a waiting list in case any players drop out.

Players, you can start posting here.

Homebrew pirate feeling D&D game. I am re-opening accepting players. One did not show and one is not posting. This is now a 3.5 version game. All has been updated.

Quick info, starting level would be 4th. All complete series, libris mortis and lords of madness material is accpeted. Rookies to PBP games are welcome too. I would be interested to play. However, I am a big rookie, not to d&d, but to PBP.

I would like to play either a swashbuckler (but I think you already have one) or a druid......

Let me know if I can join and where I can post my pc.

I would like to play in this campaign. However I am fairly new to DnD, the one campaign I am in is nor particularly good. BUt I do not want to have wasted money on the PHB.

all right! some new blood to join the game! You are all accepted, I do ask however that you try to post at least every two days if not daily. If you don't think you can do that, I will put you in a private game of your own. It is fine by me just don't post once every 12 days and expect me to keep putting effort in your game. Also, don't forget rule one: HAVE SOME FUN. If you need advice for PC creation, just say so, I would gladly help out.

Go ahead and start discussing in our OOC thread for character creation ideas or question. A druid would make a fine addition to any party. here it is
http://online-roleplaying.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5286&page=5

The current game (good and neutral guys) has two players, a monk and a fighter type multiclassed.
The other (evil) game has only one player but could be more if you don't mind playing an orc or a bugbear medecine man....

Read the few house rules I have, a bit about the world to make good choices, I do realize I have not finished posting all the info about the world but I am in Japan right now and I know about crazy times too.

Welcome aboard!

I'm working toward a duelist right now, so you might want to come up with another idea. Great to have everyone on board!
