So who here is interested in a old World of Darkness style game perhaps? Am pondering adding a 4th game to my online insansity. ;)

I have experience having been a former White Wolf playtester and player/Storyteller (including several tournament games I ran)

Considering my favorite stomping ground Chicago By Night or my home of Atlanta By Night.

Most likely will either be a crossover or a Werewolf/Mage style game. Depending on preferences.

I won't be using any of the new editions of the Storyteller system, this will use the 2nd or the last Revised editions prior to "Final Nights" end storyline.

I'd like to play vampire the most, but I have the books for werewolf, keui-jin, hunter, mage (non-revised), and demon. I'm up for any of that.

I wouldn't mind getting in on this game. While I like the 3rd edition changes that came out in Vampire (ie that things other than guns get additional successes to hit added to damage) I am all in for a 2nd edition game. I will PM you with some ideas... ;-)

Well yes, I meant that, but I own 1st, 2nd and Revised editions of Vampire/Werewolf/Mage... and I got Vampire:TDA, Dark Ages Mage/Fae, Hunter, Wraith, Changeling too....but don't own Demon or Orpheus.

So I could do a 2nd edition WOD game as most of what I own is for the 2nd edition primarily.

I see Thanos has a concept that I've only used once before on a trial basis, so I'm not sure I'll permit it in this game.

Would prefer folks to play something by the books.

Well, only Thanos and you have responded, so first would anyone else like to join in?

Do you want to both use the 2nd edition Storyteller system and do you want to do a crossover? If yes, then I will take a mix of pcs and Thanos can try using the concept he emailed me about.

Else, I'll need to make a decision based on player input.

For crossovers Werewolf/Mage work fairly well together since Mages can use caerns and such... but I can mix whatever... I just don't want to get too unbalanced of course. :)

Ah, hello Calicia! Well Changeling I have and never liked it, it was a tad more complex to run than even Mage, but I might be willing to work something out, as it looks like I might be doing a crossover of some kind. Will have to dig my book out of its box though if I permit the Changeling.

I'm leaning towards a Werewolf and possible Mage crossover at the moment and that would sort of help the concept Thanos has too to some extent. Just want to be sure everyone is good with that or would you just prefer to play strictly Werewolf or Mage or something?

Werewolf I'm quite happy to play *glances over at the shelf of Werewolf and Changeling books* More than happy, in fact. Werewolf/Mage I've got no problems with, been a while since I played a crossover game.

It rangles me no end when some Galiard, in the middle of a fight in a Wyrm infested and Gaia forsaken wasteland, desides that he wont be doing what his Alpha and Pack are in despirate need of doing...and no the player was being a git and was not Wyrm tainted in the least...

My original concept is not as combat effective as a Werewolf or a Forces type mage, but useful in all kinds of ways. My other concept is an Ak brother. If we have to play just 1 system and it is Werewolf I am undecided as to what I will play, but I guess it will be something.

If any other players are going to play Garou, maybe we should plan our characters together. I'm assuming we'll be a part of the same pack, so it would be good to know what tribes and auspices are represented.

I'm with Thanos in that if we're playing with Werewolves, I'd like for there to be a pack mentality. If there are demons and non-garou shifters involved, then I will plan on being a mage or instead of a garou.

The Garou in Chicago have seen other shifters, from my former f2f/tournament games I ran. There is a Kitsune in the city as well (NPC someone might meet)

The main caern in Chicago has Get of Fenris, Shadow Lords, a Black Fury, Fianna and some other Garou (will look up later after work tonight).

There is another smaller caern with some Children of Gaia and Glasswalkers.

I have been a tad busy with life/work this week, but yes, this game is still on.

I posted my email twice, that's how most have talked with me about their pcs.

I'm reviewing concepts/pcs for Calicia and Thanos at the moment.

The Mage Cabal in Chicago is headed by a middle aged powerful Verbena named Eve.

She has had Virtual Adepts, Verbena (of course), and a few other Trads amongst her coven before.

You can of course play any Trad that fits in with the Howls over Chicago setting I'm intending to setup. Just run the concept by me in a PM or email. If you want to be independent or start a new Cabal beyond the one that exists, run that by me too.

The Highlander/Immortal concept is pretty political and very handy to have around, if a bit less combat effective than a shifter. He also has huge ties to the Shifter community as his backstory has him as a Pillar in a Wave Setia from Hong Kong...he is very familuar with the Shifter society and comfortable there. His next adventures had him in a Mage Chantry, so he is knowledgable there as well as somewhat comfortable.

Indeed Oriental vs Western viewpoints especially concerning the Garou Rites and Wyrm vs Mankind etc is vastly different, but similar.

Chicago is a haven for Kindred and other things. So the Garou here are preparing for a War.

Since I'm using the Chicago By Nght/Under a Blood Red Moon/Chaos Factor crossover to some extent.

My chronicle had lots of interesting stuff going on previously. The last Highlander and Garou pack died on the steps of the Tremere Chantry (with some Kindred) saving everyone (Kindred too) from the Sabbat/Wyrm/Technocracy alliance. The great Wendigo of that pack leaped into the Umbra to battle the Wyrm personally and sealed the open gate. That was a pretty epic game by the time it ended in 1999/2000.

This will be picking up on the ashes of that conflict.... in a World of Darkness torn asunder and left open for new....

If you have an exising pc, you can run it by me, I will permit upto Rank 2 characters, just realize you will face nastier opponents if you choose to be Rank 2 or play with more experienced pcs.

Experienced Mortals: For the non shifters that means 25 Freebies vs the standard 15 to spend. Limit of 7 pts in Flaws.

Any tailsman/artifacts/special gear will need GOOD explanations on how it was obtained and why you think your pc shoudl have it. Also if you can't use it (i.e. you got a klaive and no melee skill or knowledge of klaive dueling) then you won't have it.

Having been around the system since its initial days I know it very well.

The Highlander was born in Hong Kong to a British Ambassador and a native. He was taken at age 6 to England and fostered till he was picked out to be a MI-5 operative...where he was trained and stuff. He may not know the exact customs in the 'west' that he does in the 'east' but he would still know which butts to kiss and which to smooze, if you get my meaning.

The game isn't starting at least until I get full pcs from everyone, just have a couple of concepts and one pc which needs slight modification.

Realize if ya'll don't work together, you'll likely all perish, WoD is not your average game world.

Lots of things hunt those who are supernatural or use abilities not of the mortal kine.

I'll be setting up the game forum this weekend sometime or at lesat putting in the requests for it.

Still reviewing pcs and such, keep the other submissions coming.
