Yo yo yo, what up. So, I have this really bad hankering for some sort of modern/futuristic role-playing with big mecha, but lo, I find no system I feel like either using/learning. So, I have a proposed idea. Now, this is an idea and only an idea, unless I find some like minded fools to help me perform before mentioned idea. It goes a little something like this...

I wanted to either play a customized version of a Gundam/ Gundam Wing game, or something relatively modern/near-future with mecha. I was going to use the Shadowrun system and few custom skills/rules to pull it off. I'd like to enlist ten players, and another DM. Yes, another DM. One more time, another DM. Just because I love my text, one more time! Another DM. Basically, in the case of Gundamy, each group of five represents a different side? or faction. I don't really have any specifics for the other setting. Actually, I don't have any plot line specifics for either one. So, um...let's see what we..uh, see. Huh?

Just let me know if you're in or out. Or if you're out in out. Or in out of in. Yeah. Or interested. Interested is good.

Some idea's then for you, maybe you will like them. Palladium has both Mecha in RIFTs and Robotech. Battletech has both a Roleplaying system (although not exactly what I would call RPing intensive) and a Java based simulator where multiple people can get together (yes, even 10) online and play out an actual game of Battletech using the Master Revised Rules.

Don't like the Palladium rules.

5 on 5? Sounds Interesting. Not commiting to play yet as what you have seems a little sparse, but once all ideas are fleshed out I may sign-up, especially if you use Shadowrun, a system i am a little familiar with.
