I am interested in starting a game of the White-Wolf game Werewolf: Apocolypse. Does anyone even remember the game? I thought it was great... I'll have to see if anyone is interested before deciding on a plot and setting and all that jazz.

Remember? Yes I do.

Unfortunatly I don't want to play, but at least someone remembered!

I happen to be a big fan of Werewolf: Apocalypse, and I think it would be cool if you ran one.

When you talk about werewolf are you only talking werewolf or all the changing breeds just a question either way it could be fun. So in case it isn't obvious i am interested.

I playtested the original Kitsune from Caerns Places of Power.

I own nearly everything done for it too at least 2nd edition wise.

Oooh, the Kitsune are one of my favorite breeds, you are so lucky.

I'm very fond of the werefoxes myself, and enjoyed playing it. She ended up helping slay a ancient elder Kindred (4th generation or so). The party had a mage playtester too, playing a hermetic Ars Magica mixture for the early mage testing. For my playtesting I got an unaltered original script of the Kitsune. It includes the parts cut out of Caerns and never printed.

The newer version of Kitsune in the Changing Breeds book is different than the original, but I own it as well, having bought it to see what was changed and redone after the original creators and editors left WW.

My preferred tribes/breeds are Kitsune, Bastet, Black Furies, Fenris and Fianna.

I'd most definitely be interested in a game.

Greetings.

I'd be quite interested as well Eternal. That's one of the only games that I have the books for but haven't been able to play much, despite having numerous characters of different shapes and sizes when I was originally testing out the character creation (no, I'm afraid I didn't have anything better to do).

So, assuming you still have some room, you could definitely count me in on it, assuming there's still room left in the game.

Have a good day.

Here's my predicament. I posted this thread not knowing about some of the materials that would be excellent supplememnts for this game. I have only the bare essentials onf Werewolf Books and my eyes have been opened to the fact that some of you know more about the game than me. I don't have the books that include other shapeshifters and all that stuff. I am thinking about postponing this game for a couple months until I aquire the proper supplies. I am sorry for jumping into this, guys.

No worries, though if you want the quick and dirty rules to all the other changing breeds out there you might look into geting the book "Players Guide to the Changing Breeds" it gives very good information, and includes character creation for almost all of them IIRC.

It does, I got PGttCB a little while back and it's very handy. There's some of the revised stuff I didn't like as much as the original Breedbooks, but most of that was history and setting (like the Nagah changing the story of how the War of Rage kicked off. I liked their original story).

PGttCB also has all the Ahadi info, which is extremely interesting, but the Hengeyokai stuff isn't as good as the proper Hengeyokai book. But, of course, that only matters if you want to run a Henge game.

Eternal, if you want to run just a straight Werewolf game, since you've got the basics you should be able to do that fine. While a lot of people here like the other Breeds as well (I, for one, am a huge fan of the Corax wereravens), I'm sure people would still like to play a straight Garou game, and anything you'd like to know about but don't have the books for I'm sure people would be happy to tell you ^_^

Don't worry about people knowing more about the game than you -- sometimes jumping in the deep end as an ST/GM is one of the best ways to really learn about the game (God knows I've done it before)

If you still want to postpone it for a few months until you can track down more books (good luck! eBay's probably going to be your best bet), then I'm sure we'll all be ready to pounce on you again and say 'let me play, dammit!' when you announce you're ready (*sniffle* after you've got our hopes up and then left us hanging for a few months....). If you want recommendations on which books to pick up, we can do that, too ^_~ Just let us know which ones you already have so we don't tell you to go out and get them.

~ Cal who really should stop procrastinating and get back to studying for that last exam....

Hengeyokai... ahh... Hengeyokai was an awesome source book in my opinion... But yeah, I've found it's a good plan to just jump in. I'll admit my first Werewolf game didn't work out too great, but that might've had something to do with the fact that I let someone play a Kindred of the East in addition to the normal Garou, but my newest campaign's pretty good.

If anyone is running a campaign on this site, I would be glad to join. Also, once I get the books I'll get right to making everything work. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Well, fancy seeing you here Cal.
I'll add my name to the growing list of eager young (?) gamers, ready and willing to be involved in your story.
I'm pretty well fine with playing just about any sort of character.
*shrugs* I'm better at some than others, but meh, everyone has their weak and strong abilities.

Keep up the book hunt, it's well worth it.
