Swires is stout, brown haired, and generally unbathed except on special occasions. His attitude is a bit raucous and his language is a bit... untidy. Most people wouldn't really guess that he was a cleric and are usually horified when he tells them that he is. His true calling would have probably been a warrior if he hadn't become a cleric for practical purposes (hordes of undead and suchlike).

Swires Hofhofenson Dumuzi:

A cleric of an order of Pelor recently adopted by the dwarves for its practicality and necessity in the Red-moonless world. This order of the god of the sun has come into prominence in the tunnel dwelling dwarven society because the dark is no longer a comporting place. The things that go bump in the night have been gathering in the deeper tunnels and the demand for individuals capable of dealing with them has risen accordingly. Swires joined the Clerical order for the same reasons that young men join the military in times of war, to defend their lands and families and to woo young ladies with the uniform of a fighting dwarf. Having finished his training and 3 years as an acolyte he has decided that his abilities will be of the best use to his society is dealing with the absence of the Red Moon directly by figuring out why it has failed to appear and if possible causing it to appear again. Swires is not militant in his religion but is definitely not the serene priest stereotype. Nor is he reverent. He is slightly foulmouthed at the best of times and completely uninhibited when intoxicated. While this has not happened recently (abstaining from alcohol is not forbidden in the dwarven priesthood (they are dwarfes after all) but is discouraged) he has had a “history” with alcohol. His parents and siblings are a pretty standard mining family and are as far as he knows happy a home. He has however lost one of his best friends to the undead on a rather rash expedition to the deeper tunnels that they both made as acolytes. The expedition was made because the two acolytes got very tired of being told how dangerous the deeper tunnels were and how they mustn’t go there until they were fully ordained. While the mistake was equally the fault of both young dwarves Swires mostly blames himself and is wracked with survivors guilt. The dwarven community does not officially lay any blame on swires but there is a deal of bitterness on the part of the relations (who were rather politically and financially powerful) of his friend who imagine it to be entirely his fault. They were rather fanatical about some of their accusations and the need to leave before they brought things to a head was a second factor prompting Swires to quit dwarven lands.

Edit: The clothes that Swires usually wear are rather worn traveling clothes with many an unidentifiable stain. His face is rather peaked for a dwarf and his nose hooks in a manner that makes his face look like that of a feather-plucked bird (possibly a very sick pigeon). The plucked appearance is helped considerably by the mass of pimples and pockmarks that he is cultivating. his hands are calloused and scarred like those of most dwarfs. his hair is a ruddy brown that looks like it has dirt in it even when it doesn't. He also gives the impression of constantly scowling (mostly because he usually is). The overall impression can be summed up in the phrase "that horrible little man".
