Coolest Avatar Award 2002

I hereby delcare that every year hence forth from April 1st to April 14th the Coolest Avatar Awards will be held. Come one come all, show thy avatar and be judged by the public.

Winner gets to boast about their Avatar for a year. All avatars must be submited before the 15th of April my time (so 14th US time) And then we let the judging begin or end, depending on how people post.

The first contestant is the lovely Cadogan Trahem, Look at that style! Look at that flare! Look at that Gummibear!

Cats are selfish and lazy creatures, I love my dog :D

The black one is Tiger, Rottwhiler/Bulldog the red one Red, Pureblood Red Cattle.

Dogs rule and cats drool. Cadogan Trahem you are exactly right about cats. I love dogs. They really are a man's best friend, well next to women of course. But then again they don't talk back. :D

ANY dog , even half worth it´s salt , will attack you if they think they can get the upperhand permanently.
It´s an inherent treat of their Hiarchial(sp?) sytem.
Cats don´t need to.....
I like dogs as well , but they require you to watch your behaviour to a much bigger extend than cats do.
Over the years , I shared my life with 14 dogs(not all at the same time,mind me), so I think I do have a little noteworthy experience.
btw-These dog´s ranged in size anywhere from Ray-Pincher (What´s stickin´to my shoe?) to Great Dane(Here´s fork and knife to defend your diner. Good luck!)

Cats just dont have the companionship im looking for, if you ask me, Cats only accept being pets because they get the better deal. My dogs I love, placid, fun, and with their own personality.

Neither of my dogs ever attacked me (or anyone else for that matter) or even tried to bite me, even when one night I accidently scared the heck out of them by breaking into my own property (darned keys).

A Second note, Tiger was not part Bulldog that would be really weird, Bullterrier I believe is more accurate. Red I got at a dog pound in 1991, and Tiger was an unwanted puppy from a person who lives near me, I had him from 1992 to 2000-01 when he developed cancer and we had to put him down. :(

Now, Number wise... While Mega is 36 (right?) and has had 14 dogs, im only 18 and have had 2 - Both of them for 9-11+ years (I expect Red to be around for a long long time yet, even though respectfully he has reached the average age for a dog).

I never said I have had 14 dogs ; I lived with 14 dogs.
A slight , but nonetheless significant difference.
To list them;(In somewhat chronological order)
1- Tecko Taks-Dachshund, the one that guarded my craddle;died of cancer when I was 2(age:16)
2-Terry(how original....)-Welsh terrier.
3-Rakker-A cub we kept from Terry´s first(and only) litter;Mutt welsh/airdale terrier.Didn´t get old ; got overrun by a car in front of our house.(1/2 year old :( ) Terry kept looking for him , wandered off a few weeks later and was found , having met the same fate.
4-Astor: Mutt Dalmatian/german standing. Mad as a doorknob , out of the pound , was shot by a farmer ,who didn´t like us.(aprox.age reached: 5) Guess what happened to that farmer :devil:
5-(overlapping Astor ; At my dad´s place. Parents are divorced) Zwiebel ; Mutt German Shepherd/Boxer. Died at the age of14.
6-Same time. Debbie-Ray Pincher.Also at my dad´s place.From his current wife. Got 15 years on the clock.
7-(at my mother´s place again) Doerak. Groenendaeler. Met the same fate as Astor.l´Histoire se repète...Three years.
8&9- Boris and Resa ; Bouviers(Flemish Cowdog).That was a mistake ; The two couldn´t stand eachother(They came from seperate pounds)and since Boris had quite a few health-problems, another home for Resa had to be(and was) found. I assume he lived up to his proper age.Not so with Boris: Due to him being nearly blind , he scared and snapped at my mother´s 2nd husband´s daughter. The vet had to put him to sleep :(There´s more to it , but not now...
10,11&12- Two Yorkshire-tyerriers and some other "broom-without-a-stick". Mom got them , just before I left the house to stay at my dad´s place, so maybe I shouldn´t count them , I can´t say I miss those buggers.(unlike as with Boris and Astor)
At my da´s place , Zwiebel was still alive and kickin´, while Debbie Died shortly after I moved in(NO CONNECTION!!)
13- My second marriage came with another dog: About 1.90mtr when rearing(88cm on the shoulders , when standing) : Nena-Great Dane . Reached 8.5 years.Quite old for that breed.
14-Kaj : White shepherd. Had him for about a year : Got him , when he was 11 months old from people , who never taught him anything , save for "jumping for cookies" and "Give paw" ; exactly the two thing I don´t allow in a dog. Unfortunately , my wife got Fybromyalgia(sp) and couldn´t handle him anymore.Since I´m not overly enthausiastic ´bout dogs(But I´ll tear apart anyone I catch hurting one) and my job didn´t make it easy either , we "re-installed" him at a good friend of us , who also happens to be a "Dog-Psygologist" .
Kaj is renamed Casper(that´s right : the little white ghost) and having the time of his life.

Unfortunately ; A Jawa doesnt´t stand a chance against a Scania-truck.
I know that all too well ; Crashed my Jawa(250cc , two-stroke , 1 cilinder) under one with a speed of aprox. 130 kMph........(the Jawa , that is.The truck was parked)

of course i cant use it here, as its 100 by 100 pixels and i'm too dumb to resize an animated gif (i hate messing with graphics)
so i may have to start a thread there
or i'll wait till next year
hopefully i will have sorted it out then (as i'll have been at uni, where i can find someone good at graphic, beat them up, put them in a sack and keep them in my wardrobe until they promise to resize it). I may just be lazy though, it could be very easy :)
