Well Sponkle has been go for a while now, and it seems he is making no effort at all to get back online and keep his games going.
My games are stagnating, and so it's time to give them a shot in the arm and stop hanging on to the hope that he'll get back in the next few days
So, I'll post descriptions of games and what's going on currently. Depending on the game you have the choice of jumping right in and stealing his character, this keeps things going with the minimum of fuss, or if it can be done his character can have a tragic accident and a brand new you can be brought in
And yes, this has alread happened in two of four games, and those taking up the reigns of a new character tend to be doing quite well
Children of LunosD&D 3e
Fifteen years ago the tiny village of Lunos was raided, at the same time they celebrated the fall of the Tyrant known only as the Silver Lady. The Riders claimed several lives and even stole three of the village's children.
Time passed and eventually it became time for the two High-Summoner Students in the village to begin their pilgramage to the other temples studying the scriptures at each and living the life that the order demanded
The first stop was the largest city in all the land, Andrion. But upon their arrival the Summoners and their guardians discovered a terrible curse had befallen the city. Driving it's occupants insane.
Upon reaching it's temple they found a partial cure, which left the afflicted fatigued.
So yes
The players are the summoners and the guardians. And right now they are trying to cure the city.
Sponkle's character was a warrior was a distant unknown land who was ship-wrecked as a child and lived in Lunos since then.
His name is Kakita Garland and he's an Samurai 6/Iaijutsu Master 1 . Totally devoted to the protection of the two summoners, altohugh far from their mindless lackey
Opportunity to insert a new character
I won't say impossible, but it's not easy. The characters are joined by a fate their village elder saw and are all from the same village, writing in a new character to meet up who somehow furfills those two conditions would be rather tricky
Dagern TravelsD&D 3e
Dragoons walk the earth, towering giants of metal crafted according to ancient tomes which are found in the ruins dotting Dagern. The Venterran Empire and their allied states attacked one of their own villages after discovering it was home to a nest of rebels, intent on freeing the states from the "control" of the empire.
The villagers were rounded up and imprisoned but the rebels launched a daring rescue and sent to Lodez so that they may start new lives.
There a tribesman, two wizards and an apprentice mechanist met Master Rizeth, who employed them to perform a few tasks.
The latest has placed them in a wizard named Luca's house, which seems to have been attacked by dragoons and occupied by goblins which the wizard may have been using for his experiments
There's more plot in this one as it's been going longer
Sponkle plays a gnomish wizard named Algerdar, and I've just noticed the bastard never included a background. Damn him and his tricks :)
Opportunity to insert a new character
This one wouldn't be that hard, there is little stopping me from removing Algerdar and dropping someone new in. Except the existing party aren't all that rusting and I'd hate to force their hands more than I have to. But yes, it's doable
Disgaea: The Seven Deadly SinsBESM 2r
The foundation is the shadowy arm of the Umbrella Corporation. A huge company with it's tentacles in many pots. The foundation is based off units of agents, and the latest unit will be trained in the tool of the future, monsters.
Team GLAM have completed training and are now heading to a tournament to help them understand the world of monster handling and battling
A more light-hearted game with the party being monster trainers, slightly altered rules (but isn't that always the way with BESM) to make monster training and catching more worthwhile and exciting
Sponkle plays William Larrins, who despite appearing to be a normal school-going kid who enjoys monster training is an expert Burgalry and Hacking
Opportunity to insert a new character
Not impossible, but far from easy. An out-side could work into the group, but the then the team-name wouldn't make as much sense as it should . I'd greatly prefer someone just to slip into sponkle's shoes on this one
So there you have
If you want to get in on the action in one of these games let me know
