Freak is one word that often is used to Describe Amicula. Dressed head to foot in black, with the occasional touch of purple and red. A dark-purple shade of hair complements her choice of clothing nicely. The final pieces are put together with the black boots, sunglasses and Opal-Pendent that she always wears.
The MCG (Monster Capture Glove) that Amicula owns is, offcourse black. Slim, skin-tight, and stretching almost to her elbow, the working parts of it are exposed as silver looking substance. Background
Born to a wealthy family in Metralia, Larissa Avinger lead a typical life - for those who are born into families of the mega rich. She had a happy childhood, having almost all her wants fulfilled by doting parents.
As she reached into her teen years, Larissa met Jordan, young man from another well to-do family. They fell in love at first site, and became quite close. It was he who gave her the opal-pendent that Amicula always wears.
One day, while walking down the street, a car veered out of control and hit Jordan, barely missing Larissa. Jordan was wounded mortally, and died in Larissa's arms before help could arrive.
Her life turned for the worse from that day.
Simultaneously withdrawing from those around her, and reaching out to use them for her own ends, Larissa took onto herself the name Amicula - and a new out look on life with out.
Roughly one month after Jordan’s passing, Amicula's parents were woken by the sound of their daughter screaming, only it seemed to be coming from within their minds, not from their ears. Rushing to their daughter’s room, they were greeted by the sight of her sitting up in bed, her eyes glowing an eerie blue, while various items in the room were smashing into the walls.
Thus Amicula's powers, and her nightmares revealed themselves. She quickly mastered her powers, learning that her eyes would glow when she activated them, so added a pair of shades to her ensemble. She had no defence against the re-occurring dreams.
Sensing now the vast difference between her and everyone else around her, and fearing the reaction if they should find out about how much of a 'freak' she had become, Amicula withdrew even more.
Her parents were in a crux themselves. They loved their daughter dearly, but the nightmares, glowing eyes and other paranormal activity scared them. Unsure what to do, they were handed the perfect solution. A prestigious boarding school in southern Jalis, The Southmead Academy had accepted her. Not only would this be a good opportunity for Amicula, it would also move her far away.
