If youre interested in DnD, you will need to obtain a copy of the players handbook and familairise yourself with the rules. If you're unable to buy a copy then you can check out the SRD document which contains basically the same information.

If you're opposed to reading large quantities, then roleplaying online might not be your kind of thing...

24th of March, 2003, 06:28
its not a handbook i know now...and it just says rule book in bold letters with DND at the top and some stuff under the Rule Book part
Edit: i also realize that the box didnt have the Handbook in it

`Metalhead`
24th of March, 2003, 07:53
The thing is grey and it says Rule Book and its paperback
BigRedRod
24th of March, 2003, 07:58
So it didn't come in a box?
Ack why are you being so evasive?
`Metalhead`
24th of March, 2003, 08:02
i dont have the handbook and it didnt come with the box
BigRedRod
24th of March, 2003, 08:08
hmmm
I think it could be the 3e starter set which I've never seen the interior of
So I can't really say
All I know is it's a simplified version of 3e
Does it look much like the SRD you were pointed at bofore?
or does it mention THAC0 anythwhere?
`Metalhead`
24th of March, 2003, 08:09
Ill check
Edit: the box says DnD: Adventure Game. and i didnt see any TACHO
BigRedRod
24th of March, 2003, 08:11
thanks
if you see the classes being listed with a THAC0 it's an old edition :(
if not and there is stuff like BAB , then you have yourself a copy of the starter rules for 3e :)
BigRedRod
24th of March, 2003, 08:15
sounds like you have got yourself the basic 3e rules
good job
learn those
then read the SRD
then I think you should be ready for anything :)
