Whilst looking over Outbreak: Undead, and trying to decide whether or not to buy it, I came across a second tite that immediately stole my interest: The One Ring: Adventures Over the Edge of the Wild. At first I thought this merely to be some long-overdue supplement for the Decipher Lord of the Rings RPG, but closer inspection revealed it to be a game in it's own right.

Not just a separate game, but a highly acclaimed title that's receiving 5 star review after 5 star review. Being a long-term fan of Tolkien's works, and a little underwhelmed by the Decipher's RPG rendition of it, I decided to immediately forget about my previous potential purchase, and invest instead in this new title.

I don't suppose anyone else has bought/reviewed/played it before? If so, what did you think? Would it be the kind of game that would be welcomed on this site?

Haven't played it, but because of the ArtOrder community, I'm familiar with the art, which I think is excellent. Had I disposable income to spare, I'd probably pick this up because of the art alone, but the reviews make it even more attractive.

That said, I spent my gaming budget for the summer (such as it was) on the ICONS Supers game.

I fell to temptation and purchased the PDFs.

The art is certainly engaging, and the rules seem to fit the setting exceptionally well. Without a doubt, I'll be looking to design a campaign for this title in the future.
